My name is Parker, and I go to school at Cornell College, outside of Iowa City, IA. Are there any Marvel vs. Capcom 2 players anywhere near there? And is there another forum I should post on as well? I’m itching to meet some players, so let me know.

man I didn’t know that there are so many fighthing game player in my home town. JUst a few weeks ago I though I was the only one playing video games in this twin cities… Even in my high school there wasn’t anybody hardcore enough… Anybody care for a couple of GGXX#R casual sometimes this week??? I am also very much open to anything else you may bring (SvC2, MvC2, TK5, etc…)

alright people, I got a big problem on my hands right now. The problem is, I can’t use my pad to play games with mame32, I went to option and and check the box “enable Joystick” but some reason it still doesn’t work I am very confused right now and it is 2 in the moring. I have been trying to find a way to figure this stuff out for like an hour now.
can anybody help me???

Hey GG’s yesterday bastef and swerve. I dono if Lucas has an account here does he? Kinda funny we all had different best games. Swerve=MvC2, Bastef=GG, Me=3s. Good shit guys.

yo what is up guy. I just wanted to say, good shit for the GG game that we had today, awesome game Tony and Lucas, I would to play you guy again somtimes. Tony, your Axel was incredible, I couldn’t do anything after you did the overhead thing on me, that was some nice timing… Lucas, you really got me worry with the your technique of using Slash all the time with Fraust; for a while I couldn’t find a way around it. And at the end you got even stronger after reading the artcile that ElvenShadow posted. So good shit too. As of me, I really sucked because Ihad a poor exacution today. I must have been under pression to play great player such as you guys. oh by the way thanks Tony for the happy ending that your cat (monkey ) gave me. that sure was a very warm and wet welcome to your place…
For you scott, I was able to fix the problem, I just need to put the game that I downlad into the roms folder and that is other wise if you run it without up it in there, everything that you apply to mame such as enable joystick won’t work when you play the game. so evetything is fine.
as of now, monkey lives…we’ll see if i decide to feed him today…

Just tossing this out here, sorry if it seems random. But there is a pretty solid champaign and regional SSBM scene if anyone here is interested. I dunno how many other of the smashers do other fighting games but maybe that could work out too.
smash isn’t a real fighting game.
With the club I created, I am in touch with one of the smash clubs on campus. Hopefully the club opens up possibility.
We (me and chojin) are planning on having a tournament sometime earlier in the semester.
