Awesome, sounds like a plan. Ever since they moved the GGX machine out of a local mall (still pretty damned far from me) I have been lacking competetive play aside from one of my friends (May player :arazz:) and a bunch of mindless button mashers. Not really entering with an intent of winning, just of getting some play in against actual people.
I will be bringing an additional PS2, a pair of sticks, Slash, and hell, maybe even a TV if you guys need any more equiptment.
Will be arriving at about 4:00-5:45 depending on various factors.

i mean, the projectors lagged a bit last time but it wasn’t that bad by any means. most of us were still able to hit frc’s with fair frequency and not drop combos. and in a hindsight i personally thought the use of projectors was good for spectator/publicity purposes. i think we might make things difficult if we bring too much stuff down to the union. i mean, we’re already running two games and gotta make sure to wrap up the event in about 4 hours.
if we just take all these stuff down there on our volition, we’re gonna make things difficult both for ourselves and the illinites staff, and the odds are that thing won’t go as smooth as we want to. that’s how i personally feel, but it’s up to the rest of you really (chris, scott, jerry, dan i’m talking to you).
maybe i’m being a little paranoid, but if you guys think we can run the whole thing smooth enough, i will be down for it. and extra set ups will make it more likely for us to run double elimination so there certainly are benefits associated with it.
so yea, i wanna hear what you guys think.
i was expecting to use the projectors for smash. i wanted extra setups to keep the tourney moving. i remember there was plenty of room in the back of the room. people dont need to watch every match and most of them will be on the projectors. im used to bringing setups anyways. once we’re done then people can play casuals on them. we can have all the quarters, semi’s, and finals on the projectors. this all depends on how many teams/players we have too.

But seriously, give me a call when you get in town. We’ll probably be playing a bit of casual before the tournament at around 7-7:30. It’ll give you a chance to warm up and such.:looney:

only a 2 weeks left of school! is anyone going to be around campus after finals are over? i’ll be here on campus for another few weeks until may 30th, so we can still do stuff like play games or basketball, etc.
