what up, all? i finally got my pass word changed, so now i can log in. anyway, stephane is right; they adapt sooooooo freakin’ well. yesterday i went back to tachikawa again, and had a very off day. don’t get me wrong, i am not making excuses – they had me pegged from the moment i sat down. i am having an absolute BLAST playing these guys! there is so much to learn from them. i have already become a much more defensive player because of it. my execution is alot better now, as well; it has to be to even stand a chance! lol but seriously, i am doing pretty well, considering. i am definitely losing more than winning, but i getting things out of it, so to me it’s like winning. by the way, here’s the game list that i am bringing back with me:
svc chaos: snk vs capcom
kof: orochi collection
kof: nests collection
king of fighters neowave
power instinct matrimelee
samurai spirits tenkaichi kenkakuten
vampire: darkstalkers chronicles
& 8. namco x capcom (it’s an rpg; doubt you’ll all have much use for that)
that’s pretty much all i got for now, but i will keep you updated. i am very, very sorry i can’t be with you guys at evo. i will be pulling for all of you, of course. anyway, take care, and i will talk to you later. the neglector has spoken…
p.s. - james, i have played some sick dudley’s over here – don’t worry, you’re doing shit right. show ‘em who’s runnin’ shit in chicago this month.
Jerry, i saw you IM’d me but you signed off, but anyway, 5K mappa DOES work its just that its not a cancel anymore. You gotta superjump cancel it. Its tricky but thats how it goes.
speaking of dizzy 2d… that move stinks now. it’s shorter than what it was in original xx, apparently. whiffing it from a hit-confirmed 2k is the worst feeling ever. the shitty part is, they removed the frc point also so you’re totally boned if you whiff it. :crybaby:
i’ve also found couple of strange glitches already with dizzy in the console port.
…played the baddest -ass Necro that I’ve ever played today. Also, an insane, INSANE Gouki. Seriously, he was pulling kara - Raging Demons out like crazy (FWD+SP, Raging Demon). These guys were just, geesh…scary. Cool as all hell, though. One of them was actually helping give me pointers to extend my Urien combos. He told me that he was really impressed with my play though, which is pretty cool. It really is true; playing these guys with any kind of regularity drastically changes the way you play if you just let go of the proverbial steering wheel and let them drive for a while. I am starting to do things that I NEVER would have thought of stateside. Plus, I have been standing back and just watching their matches with each other a lot as well. I guess this wasn’t really a true update, but that’s what went down today. Good times, all around. Toodles, all…
hey, c’mon now. it’s not even like that, chris. what i can’t wait to do is share what i’ve learned with james – i mean, he’s my teammate, you know? however, you have to remember that for the longest time it was me that was trying to catch up with james’ level of play. if this is anything it’s just me getting back up to where i need to be to be competition for him again. let’s not discredit how he’s done at the last, like, 3 tourney’s that he’s been to – top 4 in every single one, as i recall. one of which was against george.
but, uh…between you and me: yeah, i can’t wait to pwn him! lol
