ppl talk about the knee a lot, but it’s not really that useful. you can go through dozens of matches of top level akiras and never see it once. standing (buffered) double palm is much more important - a point i learned from maddy (best akira in US) back when i was playing with him. anyway since both you and chris mentioned the knee i just wanted to chime in about it (yes i also play akira lol but i wana play monkey girl now).

I just woke up today andI remembered a game that I used to play when I was in AFRICA, it was a PSone game.
the name is Blooodlines, and althought it was a crapy game we enjoyed playing the game a lot.
I tried to buy it again today but there only a couple of problems… I think the game has only been out in europe and not in America ( I think) and since it got a very bad rating, I don’t think it many people have it.
so if anybody knows where I can buy the game or a website or something let me know.

Actually after playing with Akira more today, the knee isnt really that hard. Its similer to a really fast kara cancel in 3s i guess. Some of the other moves he has took me a while though. Now i gotta learn how to play defense.

sol may seem fun at first since he’s easy to pick up and have VOLCANIC VIPAAAAAAAAAA!!!
but in the long run, you’ll probably find guilty gear more enjoyable if you know how to play other characters. imagine how boring 3s would be if you were only capable of playing chun li.

scott used to play a lot of johnny in #r, actually. i remember seeing him play johnny/eddie/robo the most out of all characters in that game.
you guys should have a johnny-only tournament where your’re only allowed to use jackhound and coins to fight.
i think its better just to play with sol until mike can get a better feel for the game, and then after that, he can branch off and decide to play whoever he is more interested in.
or if he wants to stick with sol, then thats fine too.
