so i’m in japan and i went to play AC. got my ass handed to me by some sol player 5 times in a row…turns out it was a girl on the other side wtf :S

so because all flights to the northeast region on friday got cancelled (big snow storm), i had to be rebooked for monday.
then on monday, the engine apparently burned out, so i had to fly out today, and got home just this evening.
good thing i wasn’t on the plane. otherwise, dying in a fire … well … ironically i play sol, and second, scott’s wish would have come true.

crazy stories about people getting owned in japan… well that doesn’t look too good for me then. because I am supposed to spend about 1 month in japan… one thing is certainly sure though, I will not lose to a girl… unless I sleep with her regularly…

yo i just want to say (after getting owned again today) that testament is hella gay in AC, that badlands loop is the lamest thing ever cuz you can’t tech it and the guy juggles you like 5 times doing the same move wtf!!

i totally agree. ive said the exact same thing since the first vid where i saw badlands loop. in general i have no problem w/ loops, but one hits are dumb.

Have you seen the new badlands loop? You set it up by doing a knockdown into zeinest, then you do the standard testament mixup. If you hit, you do combo, [zeinest, TK badlands] x infinity. The version I saw did half life after 40 or so hits and COMPLETELY FILLED TESTAMENT’S METER. I saw screenshots of a 98-hit version.

so GGXX AC is balanced or not?? if we have infinite ( testament), and we have unblockable ( potemkin) then the game isn’t balanced anymore right…

Quiet, I’m deducing…
so what do you guys think: is AC actually worth playing, or is it sounding more like a step in the wrong direction? i mean, thus far i haven’t heard alot of good things about it. it sounds like everyone has alot of complaints about the new battle system. the main reason i ask is that i was thinking about getting into Guilty Gear a bit finally, and thought i would grab a copy while i was in Japan. good idea/bad idea?
Go ahead and get it anyway. The essential gameplay has changed a little, but most of the essentials from the previous games should hold steady.
XX was a new game that incorporated many new radical changes from the game before it, X (burst meter, anyone?). It had its balancing problems, but after two iterations, it got to a point where other established fighting game communities recognized it as a deep and well balanced fighter.
The same should happen for AC in due time.
I mean, if you’re buying HnK…c’mon man!

Quit Guilty Gear and play VF or MB. Also, have you considered looking into Chess? I heard that game’s pretty balanced and has a lot of competitive players.
