with that said, has anyone ever taken the train to the city? i ask because a friend and i are taking it to ufgt, but we dont know if it will bring us close enough or to Ufgt. My aunt lives in the city but she hasnt heard of it.

UFGT is not in the city its in the suburbs.
Closest train stop is like 1-2 miles away or more on the purple line I think.
Just check on the metra.
Yea, the train usually drops off at the Amtrak station downtown – quite a ways from the venue. If you guys can swing a carpool, that might be your best bet.
lol of course it’s not humbag. if it was, i wouldnt have posted my concerns because she would have shown me. It’s in Rocherford or something like that, and she didn’t know of it… but the purple line huh? I should have planned this before it was two weeks before the tourny…
@Mike, carpooling would be the best choice, but i dont think there is any. Eric has a car, but he doesnt want to drive, and so we are taking the train, if we are fortunate.

I could offer to white knight it if you really need a hand. I tend to be more on time for things if other people are counting on me. I live in Des Plaines currently which has a lot of Metra stops nearby, although, most likely you will need to take the Metra to Union Station and grab the blue line out to either the Rosemont or Cumberland stop and I can drive you up to Northbrook. It seems a lot out of the way but overall I think it would be rather quick. Give me a shout if it sounds good.
Hey, if any one wants to come over and play games on Saturday night, I’ll be down to host. AFAIK, Marcus is going to be out of town for the weekend, so I’ll be happy to host some games. I’m trying to get my Rocket Racoon ready for UFGT… it’s so bad right now. I’m not used to how small his hitboxes are on attacks.
Anyways, I’m down to host on Saturday night. I probably won’t be able to start until kind of late though, about 9pm, but it is Saturday so hopefully whoever comes can stay late.
Either way, let me know if anyone plans on coming.
