probably tubowares
Pick me up
Just picked up melty blood actress again, I forgot how fun this game was.
Man… It was gooooood to finally get to play some in-person KoF. Good games to James, Dennis, and Dan.
James, I’m officially quite frightened of Karate-Sama. You’ll have to come back to town again and teach me some stuff with him. He looks really solid.
Thanks, Tubs & Marcus, for hosting. We were long over due for a gathering.
ggs all. thanks for hosting big brockus
Sorry I had to cut it short last night guys. If I didn’t have to work this morning/marcus have school/had to interview humbag, we couldve played longer. GGs to all I played, and good to meet some of the new guys!
Brock and James this is mainly aimed at you since you guys travel to evo the most, but anyone can contribute. When traveling by plane how do you guys go about bringing a full set up with the least amount of hassle and expense? Next Monday I’ve got to go to Dallas for two weeks for work and will most likely be playing a lot of games since I know no one in the area and want to bring a proper set up. I don’t think I’d mind if I put my stick in my checked baggage since it’s durable and easy to replace anything that breaks but I’d wager monitor and Xbox should be done as carry on, but that seems kind of like it would be a bit of a hassle. How do you kids do it?
bags are like 25$ to check each way.For that price you should just ship it.I dont think anyone who went to evo this year took a monitor.
I put my PS3/Laptop and cables wires etc in a nice personal item size case and then my stick/clothes and everything else in a carryon size or bigger check in size.
I really dont know how you are going to travel with a moniter. I just used the hotel tv at evo since they worked last year.
I would recommend getting one of those portable LCD’s? like the hori one?
or hell go buy a small as CRT from like walmart when you get there and then just return it
Yea, buying a TV and returning it would be much, much easier. I’ve packed my xbox and stick when traveling just fine, but I’ve never actually brought my monitor with me.
Thanks for the advice guys and as the world tends to work my trip ended up being canceled today, but I’ll keep that in mind for future travel plans. I think I was just so intent on bringing it because it was a new toy and I didn’t want to go searching for my non-hdmi cables. I’m shooting for any rescheduled trips to be out to our headquarters in Vegas around evo so I can have work pay for the flight and just roll some vacation time right into evo.
Also, side note, any of you kids that are from the chicagoland area originally need to check out Galloping Ghost. I seldom ever use this term but that place is godlike. You can just walk down each aisle and get the full gamut of fighting game and arcade history. Karate Champ tournament anyone?
Yea GG is actually a really cool place. I’ve been there twice, its definitely worth a visit.
FatalKO. New STL ranbat
Anything going on this week?
KoF is ALWAYS going on. :wgrin:
Is there games friday? Ill come.
I’ll more than likely play Friday.
Dennis Patrick, any word on getting room at a siebel any time soon?
Jesus-God…
These gameplay trailers and images of PacMan and Fat Shitty Old Mega Man literally made me throw up in my mouth. Any hope that I had for this game is long dead… What the fuck happened to fighting games, folks?? Real talk…
The worst part is that I actually DO want to play Rolento and a couple others, but I simply can’t support this mockery of a fighting game. Pandora? Fine, whatever. Gems?? C’mon, Capcom. PacMan and Mega Man(ish)?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
This is game is *still *called **Street Fighter **X Tekken, right? I mean…for a minute I thought I was watching footage of Crappy Nostalgic Game Heroes X Random Japanese Brand Mascots…
That’s all for my bitching – I promise. waits for SNK to release CVS3
