what do you guys think about making a facebook group also? im guessing a majority of the new people stopped checking this thread along time ago and many people check facebook daily. if we got them to join a fb group they would get reminded of us and maybe stick around.
wouldnt have to do too much with it, just post whenever someone is hosting or for tourneys etc

I don’t think that’s possible through facebook anymore, or well at least I’ve tried on a couple different groups and they’re all just invite only now.
Oh yeah, I have connections with the Rec Room because of ddrclub, so if we ever want to host a tourney to attract members, I can contact the rec room and design flyers for it.

The create group menu still offers open groups, but I don’t know if an admin can change an already closed one. Might just start a new one.

I think the definition of open has changed for facebook.
Open now means: “Anyone can view posts, even if they aren’t in the group” As oppose to anyone can join. Someone still has to approve members I think.
