I still can’t RC charge moves, D-U or B-F. I can do RC DPs now like 12% of the time… But my hcf/hcb RC is almost 90% once I get used to played, takes me a while to warm up I guess.
I’m thinking of bringing my shit tomorrow like 2 greensticks and my dc. I finish class at like 8:30, and I have a test for that class, so I wouldn’t mind unwinding. Too short notice I suppose to tell people. Oh well, no need. Thursday!
UPDATE: Me and Ryan handing in everything today. I should be getting email about it by the end of the week, maybe next tuesday at the latest. We still need to do a RIO like tutorial session or some shit, but it is all my responsibility unless other folks want to come. I’ll post when these things are as they come.
Well, I got a call the other day from teh RIO people. They said that only CURRENTLY ENROLLED UH MANOA STUDENTS OR FACULTY can be club members. Fuck that I said, ok well no I didn’t but I was thinking it. So technically no alumni, cc, or humans other than tuition paying/campus center fee paying people can be official club members. So too bad to you folks.
HOWEVER, we will be taking donations of $15 dollars from non-UH students. This donation entitles you to 1 year of free membership to the club. Yay! We will begin to collect dues/donations as soon as I finish the orientaion on RIO crap.
…dues will be used for lllll’s gambling habit. nah, the purpose of the dues are to pay any tourneys we will have in the future. for instance, if we decide to rent out one of the a larger ro0ms, on campus, than what we already have or for other technical equipment (sh!t like that) that UH has to help benefit these tourneys.

Dues/Donations will also go to food and tournament related things like discounts on entry fees, food packages, etc. If we get enough people we are also thinking of club MAS sticks, specifically for use at every club meeting, though who will carry them around is anyones guess… probably will be me though, oh well.
How much would it be to rent arcade cabinets with marvel or cvs2 in them? We could hold a huge ass evolution style thing next year if we could rent some cabinets and use the ballroom… would be awesome… if mainland people would come.
Discounts for tournaments is a bad idea. Basically you’re giving club money to the tournament winner and you’ll have people whining on that fact; only thing is they’d be right. Club dues should benefit everybody not just the winner of the tournament. Using club funds to discount entry fees doesn’t end up in savings for club members anyway. If I gave you $15 and had $3 discounts on 5 $5 tournaments, I’d end up spending a total of $25 which is the same as spending $5 on those same 5 tournaments. MAS Sticks or some kind of property the club owns is a much better idea.
Slow down there cowboy. Work on getting your club members to post on SRK then you can start talking big tournaments.

I was thinking it would encourage people to enter more tournaments so they would actually use their dues they paid, but yeah thats only if we had like 30 tournaments a year I guess.
If we get enough to buy MAS sticks then we can have a end of the semester Who-Gets-To-Hold-The-MAS-Sticks-Till-Next-Semester Tournament, it would be a grand tournament with at least 3 games. Person with most points wins the right to practice a lot of the summer with the sticks. But then again… Yeah they might not bring it back, So I guess this would never happen. Well, Evil/Violent/Orochi Kyosuke, we haven’t started going to well yet so far, so don’t worry about UH being competition. We meet every thursday around 4-6 for now, and thats with at most around 3 decent people showing up at a time (and thats including me, so… yeah, but the other two are HRyan and PSX so yeah average 3 decent people). If you are driving the parking is at the UH parking structure for $3 for as long as you want. Or take the Express “A” Bus, UH is the last stop before it turns around. Kepp checking this thread for updates and special meeting times. Show up if you want to, we play CVS2 and Marvel unless we can get a hold of someones PS2 then we will play Tekken (NOT 4 FUCK THAT GAME, unless people really want to play I guess…), or SC2 or most likely GGXX (Yeah I want to play your Bridget! Quick question on something I think should be brought up.
Club Dues:
Are they for a year or semester? If so what are the plans right now for people that pay them?
i.e what are the dues going to?
I read a lot of different things but knowing something solid would help.
Personally I think the club dues so go toward mas sticks. As for who gets to hold them I think it should be discussed at future meetings. If your running club dues toward food then it will run out of funds in a few meetings.
A problem with dues going toward tournaments has already been adressed. So I won’t comment on any of that.
There are some other possible solutions. If we did the $15 per semester ( wich i think is more then fair). And we had even 10 paying members thats 1 mas stick right there.
Mas Stick Solution on Who gets it:
If the problem ever comes where the club closes I think they only fair solution to who gets the stick would be to randomly draw a name of only the people that donated. This tournament would be for keeps in the event the club closes or something of that nature happens.
A tournament is actually biased to the better players and the purpose of the club is to help the fighting scene and improve it. You would automatically eliminate a good amount of newbies if you did a tournament for the sticks.
You guys picked the ONLY bad day of the week for me. Can’t make it on Thursdays, unless I start going to school there which I plan to do, but I don’t think I will next semester. Anyway, I’m definitely down if you guys ever make it more than one day a week or occasionly meet on a different day…really though, any day but Thursday is great for me. Peace.
