Hey show some love - that’s how this past April’s MIT tournament was run (2 wall . . . more like ceiling mounted TVs and 2 TVs on carts). Oh yeah did you know `Iolani alumnus Ann Oyama (co '97) helps out with the MIT gaming club (she’s into the 3D games)? Maybe we’re too old for you to remember . . . I think you might know her brother Craig.

Tekken or SC2?
I was told by Ducky and PSX awhile ago to come here and post about trying to play some Tekken and SC2. I am free most of the weekend if you guys could let me know I would love to play against someone other than the computer, the drunk guys at DBs and the little kid that always plays me in SoulCal at Pearl Ridge. 
Hmmm tekken tag i’d play you. sc2 i kinda suck at, but its somewhat fun, i guess…
well if you bring a ps2 and the games, feel free to come down to these UH meetings. most of the play here is for mvc2/cvs2. we have a small support group that plays 3s, and like 2 people who play ggxx… other fighting games, especailly 3d ones, aren’t too popular among the hardcore crowd.
you can always try and show up tomorrow afternoon and see whats up though. if you need directions and all that, post here, or leave a phone number or something.
I’ll play you in tekken tag and sc2, but I don’t have a ps2 and i think the guys who bring ps2s prolly wanna play capcom fighters on em. But if u bring a ps2 and the games I’m down to play. 
There’s actually a handful of people who play tekken tag and are part of the club. tekken 4 on the other hand…
Bossdawg and Stiffy both of you come down either way. I will see if I can get a hold of HyperTrap/ chad and maybe Theo to see if there going down. I know those 2 are into Tekken and I think hyper trap plays SC2 also. I know another guy plays SC2 that used to come to our meetings but no clue how to get a hold of him.
Either way both of you guys come down and check it out.

For those planning to bring a playstation or dreamcast and its your first time, just make sure you bring a proper av cable. Non S-VIDEO/ RGB cables seeing the TV.s at UH only take composite connections… aka RED,YELLOW,WHITE jacks.

I pulled some strings with Hawaiigamer.com and HGHQ.COM and let them know about the club thing we got going. The feedback and interest I got from them was very positive and strong. I let them know that we are about other games and how the tourney scene works etc.
The catch was when I told them about the SF2 AE edition and how they can pick there old school chars etc,I think it got there attention. Either way the HGHQ posse is rather big and there tourney crew that shows up for the various pc tourneys is rather large 10-15 so I am looking to maybe doing something with them in reguards to getting the club to grow. They have show interest.

Nice playing games with some of you guys in tekken yesterday, and watching you guys play the other games heh. Thanks to everybody who brought stuff.
Great playing with all of you guys. Especially playing the guys in Tag. I guess I need to remember how to play alittle better, but that it okay I didn’t lose in vain. I will return with a VENGENCE! Great playin overall, I wish more people would have showed up and coughDuckycough and we had the other tv running so we could have been playing on both but I enjoyed it. I would love to come back soon as I have another day off. Darn da Army all to heck!
Hey Chad, I’ll try to be there next time. You seen how fucked up my work schedule is this month… Matt - I can grab my stick from you when I show up to a meeting. Haven’t had any time to play at home so I’mn not too worried about grabbing it right now.
GG to everyone I met on Friday. Myabe I’ll bring a DC pad next time as you guys were working me with those sticks :sad: .
So if friday a good day for people then? I’ll try to get the room every week fridays, from about the same time if possible. It may be in a differnet room though (cc3xx most likely though). Next time also I will ask for the projector and tvs that fucking work.
Also I created a database to register and keep track of memberships. I have all the info on memberships on hand, and I’m working on getting everyone in there. I need srk handles/email/aim names/phone# or however you want to be contacted (or not be contacted at all, and just check here). Membership will still be 15$ a YEAR, so those who were in the club last semester are still allowed in.

I arranged to have the same room, with 3 tvs and the projector (though those aren’t garenteed), at the same time for this week AND next week.
I’m gonna try put an event announcement ad in the school paper (I have been told it is free) for next week.
