- Have Street Fighter 3 Third Strike, Street Fighter Anniversary edition or the games people want to play…
Maybe if the following 3 were applies to other arcades they might figure out why attendance might start dropping along with revenue when we can just do it on console already and save us the trouble and bullshit with asking for a game to be put in…

However! I would like to try to run the ggxx tournament at the meeting!
For this to happen I need people who would have gone to the HB tournament to show up at UH. Otherwise, the meeting will end at 630 as I will be heading to HB to enter the tournament.
Carlos? KoG? Evil? Ricky? HawaiianRyan? What do you think? Would you come to UH instead? Just need some opinions.
Also somebody post about what they think about a meeting on Saturday.

I do NOT recommend doing this. Kent and HB will take this as a sign that players don’t want anything to do with HB anymore. You will lose ALL GGXX tournaments in the future - no ifs, ands, or buts. This might also affect tournament decisions for other games. Be VERY careful when you decide to not go to an HB tournament - we’re all treading on thin ice when it comes to tournaments at HB.
Why settle for one or the either? Why not do both? Why can’t you go to the HB tournament and have your own GGXX tournament 1 or 2 or 3 weeks from now? Why do they have to be mutually exclusive?
Didn’t anticipate the adverse effects that would have come out of this:bluu: This could also give HB the impression that no one wants to even play the game which could possibly result in its removal from the arcade. If possible, how about we all attend the HB tourney on its designated night, and have another tourney the next day (sat) at UH. I’m free from 11am and i know thats probably around the time others will wake up. Also, if we can only get the room until 4pm without having to pay any fees then, I think that 5-6 hours would be a sufficient amount of time to run the tourney.
Other than that, I’m down for whatever.

I’ll get the room on friday for 2-7 (ggxx is at 7?), and on friday from 11-4. Depending on who else can show up on saturday, I might have to cancel it though. I might not be able to go on saturday, but I’ll reserve the room for then anyway.

Well, turns out this week is really bad to have a full
blown meeting. There is a large conference this
weekend and they are closing all the rooms at 4 on
friday to set up. saturday is also out.
Instead I have reserved room CC309 (turns out is the
biggest one with tables and such) for 2-10 on NEXT
WEEK FRIDAY (March 5). The day of the Brian’s CVS2
tournamnet. I will be leaving at around 6:30 or so,
but if other people would like to continue playing, I
would like to have the option to leave the room open,
as long as someone responsible is willing to stay and
clean up the room, return the tables to where they
were, and pick up the trash etc. I would like to use
that meeting and the ones this week to appoint
officers and plan tournaments. If possible, come
prepared to pay the dues, which will be voted on that
day.
This week meeting will be in the lounge till 6pm,
depending on TV availability, from the afternoon till
6pm on both wed (today) and friday. On friday it would
be nice if someone could bring a ggxx, ps2, and 2 mas
sticks so we can practice for the tournament.
I will see if I can get an ad into the Kaleo (the
school paper), but seeing as it may not be a 'full’
meeting (from 2-10), it may not be worth it, but I
would like to attract new people. If anything the ad
will say the meeting is from 2-7pm or something.

If I can find out by tomorrow, I can arrange for a meeting on Saturday. However, my brother is coming back from seattle this weekend so I may not be able to attend.
This wednesday, I will bring my ghetto setup as usual.
Friday we have the room from 2-7, but I will only be there from 2-2:30 and maybe 3:45 till around 4:30. I have to meet my parents and my brother that afternoon before the HB CVS2 tournament. I need someone to stay and pick up my DC and stuff for me. Someone needs to be in teh room at all times. If someone is responsible enough to clean up after and make sure everything is in its place, then I will try to extend the room time till 10pm. Of course that means someone will need to be there with a system or something.
Can we get a list of who can bring what on Friday?
I got my DC and green sticks.

I dont know about y’all but… basically,
Im all for having weekly if not bi-weekly tournaments via console + mas sticks
at UH (CVS2, MVC2, superturbo, 3s, tekken, soul calibur2, GGXX, fuckin smash brothers, whateva).
the meetings will usually peak out @ 4pm-7pm(could also head to brians afterward),
so there should be parking available in the structure.
The rooms Tim been using are fairly large enough to fit a decent
amount of heads, and theres air conditioning ha.
If there’s any inconvenience for anyone else who arent on campus
on the regular (and ofcourse not busy), the only thing i can say is… if you can make it to brians, you
should be able to be down.
About having tourneys mainly at UH lol instead of Hbrians (post discussed by ernest, ryan, tim)…
heh I personally believe there’s no way a console based tourney could ever replace
the arcade… So if and when these console tournaments @ UH are being held on the regular, it shouldnt effect anything… no need for further explanation on this subject/matter, just my opinion. Without even ripping on brian’s for not having 3s, weekly tourney’s to me sounds pretty dope, even if it is on console.

Ok, well I have no idea who is coming tomorrow. I didn’t advertise it or anything, but I did send out an email to the people who were there, and a few other people I knew were interested.
I am going to follow up and Pm some people to see if systems can be brought.
My DC (with VGA adapter for the projector) will be there, as will my 2 sticks, though I will not be there for very long.
Can someone agree to stay till everyone leaves (around 7) and make sure the place is clean and the chairs are in their places?
