That’s really not exactly a good thing that it’s happening at the same time.
It is if you don’t want 3 straight days of watching fighting games. It will hurt Evo’s Saturday night festivities a little, don’t know how much. It’s just another thing to do, like in 2009 I went to ESPN Friday Night Fights after my matches that day.
Would consider if I decide to go to Evo this year.

if SRK was smart, they would reach out to Dana White and the UFC and do a bit of cross promotion

Holiday weekend and a UFC? Vegas should be crazy busy.
Actually maybe not, remember, we fit their target auidence range (18-35) perfectly, with disposible income and bunch of Action junkie
More importantly, Grapplers Quest at UFC Fan Expo Vegas is on that same weekend. Hopefully, there’s no overlap between my jiu-jitsu and games brackets. Hit me up if you’re going to be at Fan Expo.
I dunno if I would like to enter (if I am to hit Evo this year, I will schedule it to coincide with a start of a deload week so I can be liberal with my eating), but it would be entertaining to watch. I think I’ve seen several people on SRK said they would enter?
Dammit…after looking at Google Maps, I realized the two events are 40 minutes apart, walking distance. Grapplers Quest ends at 6 p.m., but both tourneys run from Fri thru Sat.
