Poison WAS a guy.

Poison is official stated to be a man or with other words once was a man. Even though it a complicated matter. Eagle very much so seems to be gay. All info about Eagle being gay is from a dreammatch mind you, but I honestly think he is gay.
To the subject of Zangief being gay or not, I have this much to say.
Does anyone here believe that C.o.J. would allow a ending to a character of theirs that they would not agree with? Even in the Japanese release? Versus or dreammatch games have always been used to explore the characters more. This recent ending obviously tells us more of what Zangief is doing, most likely after SFII.
If this isn’t so, then why do you suppose a game where Morrigan and Zangief mash it out, is supposed to tell something about a character while another ending is totally meaningless…
Or why does Eagle spinning (they are both spinning I wonder why? I wouldn’t be because the moves resemble, now would it…) it out with Zangief means anything if the dreammatches and everything in them are totally meaningless? Lol.
So now I see, all wrestlers are gay! :lame: What a smart comment. 
Also Zangief having Vega’s picture must make him gay, just like him hating Vega and the picture reminding him of unfinished business, that must make him gay! :wow: Not…
So is seems to me Zangief doesn’t like young beautiful woman. Why doesn’t it say, he doesn’t like woman? Seems to me the 'Gief man is doing many things with “his” woman. As well as being friendly to R. Mika.
Whatever the case Zangief being gay or not, or being bisexual, it’s only logical you get confusion… Decide for yourself what you think, want to assume. Fact is its fiction.

Poison started off as a girl. When they released the SNES version of Final Fight, they had to replace Poison’s character with a man, because Nintendo thought it wasn’t appropriate to beat up women, but the character was still called Poison, even though it was a new male sprite. So Capcom I guess just came up with the excuse that Poison used to be a man, that’s why she’s been replaced by a man in the SNES version of the game.
Zangief is gay, so is eagle and Spider-Man knows his shit.
Damn, I can’t Believe stuff like this is even a big deal in this day in age, I guess we haven’t really progressed at all… time to burn the witches!

Firstly, I think SpiderMan is incorrect (but close).
CoJ originally had Poison as a girl, CoA didn’t like this (they didn’t want people hitting girls in FF). CoJ were very lazy so they said ‘fine, Poison is really a man who has had a sex change - so now you can say that players are beating up trannys rather than women’. This allowed them to get away with not doing more sprites. CoA were still not happy and hence made Billy and Sid to replace Poison and Roxy. This is all factual and the real reason why Poison is classified as originally being male. Not open to debate.
As for the Eagle. The ONLY thing we have to suggest Eagle is gay, are the cross-over/whatif games. There was nothing to suggest anything about his sexuallity in SF1 which is the only game he appeared in that is definately canon. If you do not accept anything in a cross-over/whatif game to be canon then there is no reason to call Eagle gay at all. Even if you do take these games as canon (or even part of these games as canon), it is only a conjecture based on quotes and the fact he looks like lead singer of Queen, Freddy Mercury.
I personally think he is gay, but I wouldn’t say this was definatly canon for the reasons outlined above. So believe what you want, the answer depends on what sources you are willing to accept.
With Zangief, it is true that he ‘dislikes pretty women’ (FACT). Again take this as you will. It doesn’t catagorically say he dislikes all women, or that he likes guys for that matter. I am personally unconvinced that the 'Geif is gay. I wouldn’t have any problem with it if it were true, but the case is simply not convincing enough for me. If you disagree, then fine. You are entitled to think what you want, but there is no fact pointing to him being gay, only conjectures.
I hope this ends this ‘age old’ debate of the above 3 characters sexuality. No other Street Fighter characters are currently rumoured to be gay.

I forget if Eagle’s SFA3 quotes indicated he was gay. Could have sworn they did, but I don’t have time to check cause I gotta leave for something right now. Will do so when I get back, though.
None of the quotes in SFA3U directly imply that he is gay but feel free to conjure up your own conclusions with these questionable ‘specific-character’ quotes(taken from the SFA3U Dialogue Guide by ProTect)…

At best Eagles quotes in SFA3 only suggest he is gay. I personally believe he is gay due to these quotes. However, he doesn’t say it explicitly in the win quotes. Therefore it is not strictly canon.
Another thing is that Eagle was only an extra character in the GBA version of SFA3 just like Yun. They didn’t appear in the other SFA3 games, and have no relevence to the storyline. They are sort of ‘whatif’ characters. This is obvious if you look at Yun - there is no way he could be the same age in SFA3 as he is in SF3. This is another reason why this can be excluded from canon.

I read on the SF plot guide on Gamefaqs that Eagles design was most likely a tribute to Freddy Mercury from Queen, and since Freddy was gay, thats why a lot of people think Eagle is gay.
Although I don’t actually think that Eagle is gay…I don’t think it matters much in a game like Street Fighter
I don’t think Eagle was designed to look like Freddy Mercury in SF1. It is only in later games where he makes an easter egg appearence, that he has a more Queen like aura about him :lol: So again, it is very much up to the individual what they think.
