Hey Dentron, I think I may know why…
were you using team BAS against him? If so, the reason Ricky was using fierce into rekkas instead of the 2 strongs is because sometimes the 2 strongs whiff…most notably after a scum gale grab…this is all specific to sakura, not sure about bison or blanka, but yeah…the fierce is less timing intensive (even though it’s Ricky) and only does 100dmg/1stun less…
interesting theory, but he was doing it on everyone.

I didn’t see any CvS2 or SF3 listed as games for the Anime Expo gaming tournament, only GGXX for PS2 on Sunday; and all the games seem to be console games (Mario Kart, DBZ:GT). Hope this doesn’t discourage anyone for attending.

yeah. I’m gonna be there tomorrow, but, if you’re up for a game of something else, you’ll have to go to the hotel’s arcade.
I dunno if u guys care but I went to powerhouse today (the rediculously overpriced arcade at the block) and it looks like they replaced all their “fighting” games with a crappy neo geo cabinet and uber crappy buttons. They have mvc2, 2nd impact and I think tekken tag (or 4). The only delightful thing I found was that the dmg was reduced on mvc2… previously one super would take about 3/4 health… now it takes about 1/4. Oh and by the way if you didn’t know, the fighting games cost a dollar 
to play. I was just there celebrating a friend’s b-day and got 2 hours of unlimited play (and bowlingo) for 12 dollars.
On another note… http://home.comcast.net/~godzilla007/Sailor_Moon_Live.wmv that is why I’m probably never gonna go to anime expo that and i’m not a huge anime fan.
