If its anything like the smash tourney they had - it’s gonna be bad. They’ll force you to use the controller and have single elimination bullshit all around.

Not sure if both gamestops in Davis will have the tourney but I’ll call later next week to check. If they don’t allow sticks though, ima just say fuck it cuz playing sf4 on a pad is just wrong.

Thank you. I think I can play sf4 on a pad, though I’m used to arcade style too. The real problem for me is that I don’t have a PS3 or 360 stick. Most likely, I gotta borrow a converter somewhere.
Despite low expectations from everybody, tournament went real well. 
17 people signed up. I only recorded matches with the top 8, since I’m fairly sure I couldn’t record all the matches with them being best of 2 sets. Bad Karma did though, so :lovin::lovin:

Arcade Sticks for $150 (or whatever it is) so I can practice SF4 on my 360.
I have a MAS Stick with Saturn, Dreamcast, PS2, & Xbox connectors, does a converter
exist to convert PS2 or Xbox connections to a 360?
Anyways, tonight was fun guys, glad to meet everyone I did.
Videos look good upon playback, the only thing I’ve noticed is that at some points
you can see a reflection from some of the ceiling lights outside of the arcade.
Apparently there was enough people crowded around behind me during the beginning
and end of the tournament to block these lights out.
It’s mostly the matches in the middle when the crowds thinned out for awhile, but it’s
not bad, just noticeable, so I’m geeking on the quality of the recorded videos for a sec.
Next time there’s a tourney, I’ll just set the camera up on the opposite (slave machine’s)
side to hopefully keep any similar problems from happening.
Damn I showed up hella late tonight to the MUGA (around 9-ish). Anyways, GGs to all the people who stayed over. There was these two Blanka players (one green, other gray blanka) that gave me a lot of valuable experience in that horrible matchup so big ups to whoever played.
BTW, I was the one in the black shirt, tie and jacket that ran Zangief all night.

Nice to finally match up some faces with the names I’ve been seeing all over the damn place. Matches were crazy guys, very very fun. I don’t think i did too bad for my second day of really playing this game. I was the mexican looking mofo with the grey and shiet, always picking M. Bison and C. Viper’d it up for some casuals. Gah, if only i had more practice i wouldn’t have missed so many ultra opportunities and dropped so many combos. Congrats to everyone that made it really far, i just wish i didn’t lose to Allan and Walter so badly.
