Is a parry-timed FA the surefire universal way to beat it? Noticed an Akuma player was FAing them, but he did them too early - it would absorb the buttslam and then attack in the wrong direction
I shouldn’t really say this cause I’m just hurting myself, money wise, but the universal counter to butt slam is backdash, not FA. FA is actually really bad cause by the time you animate the attack, I will have either butt slammed again, or done headbutt which will snuff your FA.
FADC backwards works well as long as you’re not cornered. Also, reversal dp is another surefire way to beat out butt splash the SRK shortcut is d/f, d, d/f. Don’t need a forward input anymore in this game and you need to do the reversal late or you’ll do it in the wrong direction and get crossed up.

Can someone tell me why I keep doing EX torpedo punches when I’m trying to do EX rush upper’s? I want to be able to do the link combo with Boxer.
So I went to muga just now for a little practice. To my surprise, I am now able to do Sagat’s Tiger Uppercut xx dc ->roundhouse ->Ultra (yay!)
Then I ended up playing Guile and getting into this nasty habit of flash kicking whenever against the players at that time as well as the computer just because no one blocks it and it looks cool. I’m now tempted to scrap Guile and use Bison as my second. Bison is strong.
Cause when you do the special, you keep doing d/f+p instead of f+p or u/f+p. Most of the time you’re already grounded due to buffering off a normal so do charge b, u/f+p.
I probably threw about 8 times
You got me with those damn headbutt into ultras though.
And as for my stick modding - A sanwa JLF costs about 30 bucks, but I dont know how to replace it (a guy named Chippermonkey did it for me, but I’m sure Jack can help you with it).

You know that tournament stick that will be released relatively around the time of Sf4? The really expensive one? If I get a Korean stick, will someone replace the japanese stick with the korean stick for me?
Pretty sure someone knows how to do it, but it mostly depends on if the stick can fit in the old box.
