Viper can be your main, and then you can use Dic if Viper can’t win and you don’t feel like wasting money.
If anyone is complaining about finger pain from buttons in SF4, I would recommend they get good at marvel. If you can do the rom infinite, the tips of your fingers are already immune to sensation.
But yeah, I was running to Ryu yesterday after trying to play El Fuerte against people with their serious game faces on already. I think I’m going to have to start going at like 8 in the morning so I can get some quality alone time in w/ the machine =P
Thats exactly what i meant Although if yall are really active during the day i might have to just use Dictator to begin with @_@
WHAT TIME DOES MUGA OPEN and CLOSING…

Alright if I’m gonna start playing SF4 I need someone to explain the basics to me. Who understands the system, and is willing to spit it out for everyone here?
I’ll be there tomorrow morning for a bit to practice.
I headed over to the MU after the election results were in and had some good Street Fighter IV games against everyone there. I was the guy playing Dictator all night…well I played C. Viper also, but I’m trying to forget those two matches, lol…she is very hard to pick up for the first time against opponents going all out…I will need to wait until I can practice with her on the console version before I play her anymore.
Anyways, I will be heading over again tomorrow for a couple hours…if you see someone playing Dictator over and over, say hello! Its probably me.
Dan, Kevin wrote you a beginners guide he emailed it to me and wanted me to pass it on.
Step 1) Pick Zangief
Step 2) Allow opponent to begin some sort of scrub ass combo (e.g., ryu c.jab c.fierce hadou)
Step 3) After first tick of combo, begin spamming circles and pressing punch buttons.
Step 4) Scrubby opponent will not complete combo successfully and you get a spinning pile driver free. Bonus points if you have enough meter to ultra.
Easy game.
(but seriously http://www.eventhubs.com/guides/2008/jul/08/street-fighter-4-strategy-guide-hints-and-tips/ )
Edit - Oh and GG’s to people who played tonight.
<----- Guy playing Ryu and fucking around with El Fuerte.
Don’t be hatin’
I actually know how to play the game. I decided to use Zangief before the game even came out because his ultra looked lulzy as fuck. It was Capcom’s fault for making him good.
I might be there for some games on Friday… :woot:
shit i havent been on here in a while. sf4 is too full during the day. plus jim and dan dont want me there during the day cuz the machine will lose money when i play. i normally go during the night to practice by myself. sf4 is pretty sweet.
and for the love of God, use the fucking list i put in front of the machine. i dont want fights breaking out in my game room.
and dont ask me for tokens, ill get fired if i give em out.
peace out bros
Good games again today everyone. I don’t actually live in Davis anymore so I won’t be around for another week. Hope to see you guys there again.
And I just gotta say I love SFIV, I love Dictator, and I love spamming endless Devil’s Reverse…
i will be coming a lot this week
popo please dont’ go, i really i want to be able to stay on the game for more than 2 minutes. thanks:lovin:
Marty,
Its really ok if you play during the day as your match will only last like 1 minute and then you’ll be off the machine. We just don’t want the employees sitting there for hours and using the machine, as we need to recoup the cost. Also tell whomever is working Sunday morning (probably Ben) that I won’t be there.
As for the list, use it, don’t use it, I don’t care, just don’t complain to me about it. I tried taking off the second Competitor token line, but I glued it on there a little tight. It’ll be off next week sometime, I promise.
Popo
I usually work Friday’s, but my younger sister’s getting married on saturday, so I’m missing this one. Too bad, woulda been nice to play ya again, like circa 2002.
Kevin’s beginner guide to Zangief worked for me and it can work for you too!
Zangief is scrubkiller to the max, you and Coopa should feel bad for playing him
very funny dan. u know we can avoid the problem of me playing alot if u just give me a freeplay key. or at least give me the key to the machine so i can take out the tokens that i put in. that way u dont have to worry bout me asking u for tokens all the time, and u dont have to worry about me cutting into the money that the game rakes in. like i said b4 i normally go during the night time when theres not many people, or when the csr’s are closing so i can practice on my own.
and my bison will kick ur ass (just dont play ryu or gief, lol).
i was also surprised that people were actually following the list for a while. it was pretty funny. just like that sign on the ID3 machines. i think the format of the list was a fucking stroke of genius on my part
Marty’s gonna use that freeplay key to master the El Fuerte infinite, don’t give it to him!
That’s it. I’m gonna go and try playing Gief and practice up on him after hearing about this powerhouse story.
edit: nvm. Zangief really doesn’t seem like character I would like playing as though. Maining Sagat and trying to get better will probably be my goal for Street Fighter 4 for now. Thanks for the guide btw Jack.
