I think 10-15 bucks a pop sounds pretty decent, thats 40-60 bucks a team per game and would pay for gas.

               I hereby propose that rather than having a selection committee pick the players that we either have a point system for the next few weeklies (kinda like the old Apex(?) system) to rank our players or a tournament near the end of the quarter to decide who gets in. This could be a pain in the ass and not necessary, but I think some of the new players and current students, regardless of their skill,  should get a chance at qualifying.  This should be an opportunity for these new kids to play a tourney with high quality players, not just scrubs like me.

By the way, I haven’t seen tanaka in a while and the 3S comp is decent now, so you should drop by.

I do appreciate your team for SF4, and Buddy should be both captain and mascot of our UCD team.

I would like to make a few recommendations on possible changes:

Instead of lurker I suggest we substitute guy who plays Raiden/pinball, talks to himself, hasn’t taken a shower in a month and has the thickest glasses I have ever seen.

Random bowler guy should be Old skinny guy who carries bible and plays cruisin exotica or Asian McLovin (PIU player)

Instead of cow, we should get Dragon Lady (old asian chick who has a huge hat, carries a huge bag and plays pinball for hours) to the team, thereby ensuring that our team has someone with opposable thumbs, yet is still a member of the animal kingdom, in this case the imaginary animal kingdom=bonus.

can you fix the sticks on marvel. last time i went the directions were all messed up and bottom right diagonal on 2p was really small.

Uhhuhalright is “G”. He graduated last spring but comes down every once in a while. He’s a Dudley player that always wears formal clothes (dress shirt, slacks, and dress shoes).

** Okay ok. After careful thinking, I have decided to nix the University Battle idea. Now we are going to have a Giant Inter-Arcade battle royal. All games will consist of a mess of 5-man teams. Double elimination, Gamers Vision style. So once everyone on your team has been taken out. Your team loses that match. If your team loses the next match. Then you are eliminated. Like always, we will need at least 8 teams per game. Anyone from any Arcade, school, or back alley may enter. As long as you got a team, you?re in.

Since we?ll have participants from all over the bay. I want to make it worth the drive. So it?ll be either $10 or $15 per person.  So keep ya paper right!$!$!

Also if we have a lot of teams enter. We might have to have it at either SVGL, MGL, or SFSU
Since they can accommodate a lot of people.

As for when it takes place it will be January 10th 2009 at 2pm. I think this is ample time to get a team together, save some money, and refine your skills/gimmicks.

The games held will be:CVS2, MVC2, GGAC, 3rd Strike, and SF4.
I?ll see about Tekken6 or DR, and Melty Blood. Depending on the demand, and the available equipment.

 Of course I?ll need some dependable associates to help out with running the tournament, collecting monies, and video tapping matches. I still want to get some sort of sponsoring for the tournament.

i.e. Shirts, food/drinks and hopefully prizes. Somebody who has dealt with that, please help me out with that.

I think the Marvel sticks are working fine.

Sure, the wonky angles relative to the screen are bullshit and the control panel itself does wiggle a bit (ie the whole box that houses both sticks, buttons, etc), but the sticks and buttons themselves were working great for me today.

What do you play entity?
