b1gazn: This could happen but the only problem with this is that it would mean 3nigmatic has to stay by the mvc2 section the entire time and he entered most of the evo tournaments so he would miss his pools. Thats why only the main events got name tags on the footage because it was only 2 events and then casuals. If someone was to stay by the setup the whole time and write down the times with the players names then it would work. If not its all good cause we have a camera now so everyone can identify who’s playing.
Regency Rowtron: Last year the tournament didnt go down because I did the events 1st and then wanted to do the tournament later which i learned from that mistake so thats why i changed everything this year. Once events start going down nobody cares about tournament cause there trying to see who’s next up to play. Also, everyones attention goes to everything else come saturday and nobody really focuses on the byoc section so thats why im doing everything on friday to not compete with saturday tournaments. For example: If Yipes has to play in mvc2 on saturday and then he has to play mvc3 as well his main focus will be on mvc3 not mvc2 so there goes the conflict.
As far as you vs krazzy goes I spoke to krazzy last night and he confirmed its still on between you and him so you vs krazzy and roundhouse vs servbot are the main events this year. We can do you all’s events after the tournament on friday or sat with the rest of the lineup. I want to get the tournament out the way before any events go down.
it’s possible, but unlikely on casuals. Last year I suggested that people watch and if you knew who was playing and when i’d note them in the comments with time durations. That’s probably the extent of what i’m willing to do with the casuals.
With any specific money matches that are recorded separately, i’ll be happy to edit in names.

I like to do tournament first then Two Mans Tourny later, also about the names and recording, couldn’t players just say their name to the camera b4 the matches? cuz that’s what they did in most of Preppy’s videos, unless its a different kind of recording?
I agree, and no disrespect to the people who record but I prefer to be able to see and hear all of the people and the shit talk and feedback from the crowds otherwise it looks like ole regular ass online match wit no mics on lol…true story!
I think it grates on some people when you ask for their screenname, but that was the only way I could ever keep track of stuff. Plus there’s no way any notation system is going to hold up when you have to back-reference 40 hours of tape per weekend. :nunchuck:

Krazzy: Preppy uses a tripod and a camera to record so you would get to see the match plus crowd reactions. 3nigmatic records directly from his pc to dc. The matches that are being recorded this year will end up like the sanford vs west coast but a little different to were you can see the crowd. Again only on some matches names will be put especially for the main events and undercards but for 10+ or more hours of casuals dont know about that. Thats alot of trying to figure out who is playing who. A suggestion everyone can do is say there names when there playing a match to the cam and we can add the names from there. That could possibly work…

I got the camera today and some prelim recording went pretty well. I’ll do some more recording and put it all together to make sure everything pans out. Saying your name into the camera isn’t a bad idea. Definitely do that.
FYI it’s a webcam with not that much wide area, it’ll be situated somewhere above and behind whatever display you guys use (i assume crt).
