At the end of the day, the version we play should be the same as what’s played nationally and across the world.
Unfortunately newer players are going to look at Vanilla ST and go ewww that game looks ancient. Which is a shame, but alas, that is the state of the market today.
alas, we should play HD on classic mode. I’ll test if its damn slow like STHD.

From what I have seen and saw in forums they seem identical. Mind you it might be the psychological effect bcz of graphics and so on. But if u know that for sure, pls give me a link for that, I really want to hopefully find an end to this dilemma. 
I have no proof, it just my opinion. But i think its the graphics like you said.
