I like how I’m the only single person on the teams list, but I guess it’s accurate to my situation…
Also, apparently I’m playing for a spot in HDR with Cole…which I’m going to win, then decline because that’s how I roll. Mat and I are teaming for HDR, Cole, thanks for the thought though! ^^
So after thinking about it for a minute I’ve just decided to run the battle card system on my own computer. I’ll keep record of season and tournament battles and tally everyone’s scores from home. Should be a fun little project
So seeing as I’m in the middle of learning Flash right now, I thought it would be a neat little project for me to sort of make a “gamercard” for everyone that would be participating. This gamercard would have the stats of the player in the Tournament like wins/losses, perfects, all their match history, etc. You could personalize the card with a picture of you and a quote or something… I don’t know, I just think it would be neat and give a quick view of how you and your team is doing in TWs.
Maybe we can even tie the battle system you guys are talking into it.
Of course someone like mastermind would have to enter/update the data after every weekend, but other than that, I don’t think there would be any problems in implementing it.
I’m down to just update data and stuff. I’d just need to be in constant contact with peeps who go to matches every weekend. I’m obviously not there every Saturday, so communication is key.
I’ll tell you this right now, having that much Flash on the site would be kinda nuts. A lot of the same effects could be done with simple HTML. Tables, tables, tables.
Speaking of the TW website, Frank’s dwindling interest in updating it is kinda dwindling my interest in keeping the back end of it afloat. =\
Uhh, didn’t he get 3rd at the one tournament he entered for ST last year? If he counts as “intermediate” you have opened the floodgates for ANYONE to join your team not named Julien Beaseley or Mandel Scott.
I’ve only been in a couple HDR tournaments at Zachs, placing–I think–2nd and 7th, losing to Axel Kelly twice in the first one, then Cole and Julien Beaseley in the second. I do pretty well on XBL, but the vast majority of my experience is online.
Still, if you’re looking for lower skill-level partners, I’m totally fine dropping out of the running and taking it as a compliment. I gotta find a partner somehow, though. Anyone want to team up?
3pwood - Sorry man, u are a little more than intermediate if the only peeps taking u out are me, julian and axel
So now, 2 more spots left for a nice little 8 man for the teamate spot.
Digimish, id love to talk to u about that flash gig. Im learning flash and web development as well. Also planning on talking to julian beasly to re-surface his ranking system. Hopefully get it on all of our NW sites
Hey Frank! Crash and I are teaming up for Season2 SSFIV! I don’t think we’re all decided on characters / team name yet, though. Let’s get hyped for SUPER TOURNAMENT WARS!
This sounds awesome! I’m all for anything that adds extra art/style to Tournament Wars.
Find a way to make your team name ESL again.with both players picking 2 characters it is possilble…plus it’d be super tight to have another “team” returning for Season 2. Kriangkrai and Ghrrk were the first team.
So a few ideas that have been tossed around as of late:
TournamentWars DVD for Season 2, possibly Season 1? What is the interest in this?
TournamentWars/Team Seattle Shirts…obviously the shirts would have some of our favorite lingo on them (LCFC, GDIK, Ed Maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!, Ey! Claps etc. etc.)
The only way I can see season 2 having a DVD worth purchasing is to have all the matches recorded directly off the source, interviews with every team, and other awesome shit. I would gladly pay $15 - $20 for that without even thinking about it.
