LOL
What i meant to say is that people who play SSFIV killed the scene. The game its self is dope as fuck.

Wow, I guess Connor put better/cleaner what I was trying to say.
I also have my money on Mickey, to be honest you need to have composure to beat Mikail and that’s something I’ve seen in Mickey more recently.
=) Hello Nw
Glad everyone is getting along nicely. To put some more positive tones in this thread. For the past 3 weeks, the AfroDOJO has seen A LOT of new faces completely new to the scene. I’d like to welcome them and introduce them to our crew. Every other day i get people calling me up, asking about the dojo and they get real excited that there is a place like this to come hang out and play street fighter. They have showed up on some off days during the week and i got to know these kats and they have felt welcome and will now start coming to Thursday night tournaments as well as continue to come hang out and practice.
Its a good thing they dont hang around the threads to much right, cause regardless of certain drama, people thinking nw scene is dead or killed, people hating the game, good players quiting. We here in the NW and the Dojo are STILL getting new players who would like to be part of the community and are happy that a place like this exists.
Now THAT is something to be happy about i say.
Much props To Russel, Tim and Carl for coming through today for the first time. Welcome and hope to see u this Thursday.
Props to Danny V , Zach and (ach forgot the other homies name doh) for quickly becoming new dojo regulars and showing up damn near everyday to train and learn SSF4! Zach, you must teach me SC2 Protoss!
Definite props out to CPR!!! The new guns in the scene showing much dedication in coming out all the way from Spanaway just to hang out and play and be around good kats.
I have to say, im actually really touched and happy, because when I had the vision of the dojo. This is exactly what i wanted…my house treated as open doors to anyone beginner, intermediate, elite or casual player to come over at any time and play some Street Fighter or any other type of fighting games. A place where the community can connect and build on our skills as well as our friendship. I think Drewfus said it best (as well as Mandel)…no matter what forum u go to, there is always drama, always trolling always beef with someone…its always the same. So all though we all hate the drama…its realy beyond us cause its kind of a forum standard…lol unfortunately. I always felt NW was a little more above everyone else…cause when I first got here…everyone was kind of cool…the only beef people had was with LTB and scrubby dan…well…after hard work we got that squashed so…obviously we can do it. Also, do u guys remember last years EVO? Even though we did not do to well performance wise…people recognized our unity, loved our shirts and even started copying our hype call outs during matches. I’d Love to get back to that, i know we have that potential…cause we were there already.
I think if people just took the time to learn a little more about each other, we prob wouldn’t have so many online thread gripes and battles. Its all good as long as you keep the integrity and not take things so personal right? After all, we were all brought together by this game, so we should respect each other as well as the game a little more.
See everyone this Thursday and good luck to all the teams that will have to feel the wrath of my Dhalsim on Saturday =)
Yes, i am going for back to back tournamentwars wins…gotta remember…im a veteran at winning tourneys back to back hehe cough grill nights…2 weeks in a row…cough evo 2k1,2k2…clears throat and smiles =D

ps - I’d have to say my money is on Mikhail. Gotta support Dojo regulars and I love the underdogs…cause I am one myself! GO Mik-HAIL MARY!!!
this thread took 33 pages to get tight hahahahaha finally something worth reading. mikhail after mickey ill play you ft100 for my bimmer, thats like 4500 bucks son ARE YOU DOWN? oh and it will be 3s
Whoa, you drive a Beamer!? That’s hella tight.
I love 3rd Strike to death, but never played it on a competitive level - but that game put Street Fighter on the map back for me, and I was ready for SFIV and SUPER!
Yo, I’ll play you first to 100 for your Beamer, I’ll put up um… 1 year worth of rent for a room in Bellevue :bgrin:
How are you an underdog if you win tournaments?
I’ve done enough posting, back into hiding!
Al Davis Said best just win baby win, ALL I DO IS WIN WIN WIN NO MATTER WHAT
I really shouldnt keep fueling the fire, but i feel i have to say something about this mickey and mikhail thing.
Mickey - If you look at the whole scenario more closely, you will find that…Frank gave the permission for EVERY team to make that decision. You know what that means? That means that any team u play against can say either yes to ryu, or no. So, out of ALL the teams you played…only 1 team said no. Now…did this keep you from making play offs? No it didnt. Now…do u have to play Mikhail again in playoffs? No i dont think so (unless i read schedule wrong). Another point, didnt every other team say you can use ryu? Yes they did…so what does this mean Mickey? It means that u can use Ryu in playoffs and give it your best. Now…because Mikhail denied u that one match because versus his team, he wanted u to follow the rules…you have no right to be mad at that. He had a choice, he also has different views on how things go then you do. So as a person, respect him for being different.
So I want to ask you this, since you are free to use ryu from here on out during the tournament and even before hand, (only one match u were forced to follow the rules). What moves you to come onto the forums and yell at mikhail as well as almost rallying people up to be against him, when nothing really got effected for you tournament wise. I mean, all you wanted was to play ryu in the playoffs right? You got that when you qualified…so what on earth are you trying to accomplish now? You want everyone to tell Mikhail to be a man and always play peoples best characters?
You are my boy and all, but this was completely uncalled for. Mikhail is not in the wrong for wanting to follow the rules, he just has different views than you do. Honestly, what you should of did was kept the fact that you didnt like mikhails decision to yourself. Then come on this forum and challenge Mikhail to a mm for not letting you use ryu in a more jokingly and light hearted mannor (since his denial didnt STOP u from QUALIFYING!). It would of had a much more positive tone, people would of got involved laughing and talkin smack about it and things would be good. All this did was poison our scene again and make 2 other people start fighting about a whole other subject!!!
Please do not be salty at me for saying this, but i felt it had to cause i dont think u realized that even though mikhail denied you one match to use ryu, everyone else said yes…meaning u were granted your character back.
That is all that you really wanted right? So whats the problem?
Cole
ps - Mandel - remember Im super old skool…I was always the underdog compared to John Choi…Watson…Tomo, Valle. Everyone loves to see me win, but there money is always on others never me. Sure I win the tourneys here, but in the overall picture of our entire SF community…im considered an underdog.
Actually I was joking. But yeah I see what you’re saying. You are an og elite though. I’d say you’re basically associated with those guys. But I have to ask if you’re an underdog, then what does that make me? An underpuppy?
PS-Without completely speaking for Mickey, this all happened because Mikhail led Mickey to believe that he could play Ryu against them last Saturday only to have it be the other way around when they had to play. Just a miscommunication turned money match.
ok fuck the ft100, you can have it for that years rent ahahahahahaha, COLE YOU ARE A GIANT AMONGST MEN TO ME SIR!
Cole, I believe that Mickey is mad/annoyed at me because he misunderstood my reply when he asked the teams he would play against last saturday if he can use his Ryu. I replied, which in my mind was a no, but my reply came off as ambiguous to him, which I actually understand when I go back and re-read that post. People here also agreed that my reply was ambiguous, with some thinking yes, and others no.
I apologized to him for this miscommunication, and in reply, he started questioning my integrity, saying that I was afraid of his Ryu during tournament and asking me if I would like to do a money match to see who’s better… to which I agreed.
No matter who wins or loses, I’ll still respect him for the player he is and I can only hope he does the same with me.
Also, some of you guys are taking this too seriously - drama in the Northwest community and whatnot (I LOL at your facebook posts) - I don’t think so. It’s just 2 people dueling it out to see who’s better at the moment.
But, by all means, enjoy the show - I aim to entertain.
mikhail blade or mickey free? hopefully this gets streamed?
Quoted for emphasis. Most everyone still has a grand ole time playing when we get out and do it. Drew is always on point, pay attention when the giddy geif picture is present.
First of all, who is against Mikhail in this? Who have I rallied? I merely called him out Cole, wouldn’t you do the same if YOU were in the same situation? Besides, I see about 8 people here posting saying that Mikhail is completely in the right for choosing to stick to the rules. So who have I rallied? Which now gets me to what I’m trying to accomplish…Competitiveness at it’s finest Cole. The ability to call someone out and say “You think you’re better than me? Lets throw down.”
I don’t think you’ve understood my point Cole, this is not a question of “rules are rules.” It has nothing to do with “everyone let you use Ryu, so why you complaining?” It has to do with the fucking general mentality of the OVERALL SCENE saying “rules are rules dude lol!” It’s a question towards the integrity of the scene, ESPECIALLY Mikhail. Because when you get right down to it, there was no reason for him to duck on me using Ryu…point of the matter is, he didn’t want to fight my Ryu for whatever reason and he could fall back on the “rules are rules” aspect and NOT BAT AN EYELASH at what a COMPETITOR would do.
So what’s the problem? Lack of competitive integrity in this community. Lack of honor or loyalty towards playing someone at their best. Lack of drive and perseverance to PUSH YOURSELF. That’s the problem Cole. There is nothing in this scene for me when it’s members choose to overlook such qualities. I have a family, I have friends…I never needed Street Fighter for that. That’s what you get in this community. Not competitive desire…but friends and family.
You guys call it drama and lay the scapegoat on ME that I’m being a bitch about it? What a load of shit, when was the last time you saw something INTERESTING in the NW in regards to the actual GAME? “Holy shit, someone putting all their pride on the line questioning someone else’s integrity and want to play? Lol, Mickey’s so dramatic!”
I really wish I could. I wish it were that simple for me. I used to be able to tune anything out. Not sure what happened. sigh
This might be worth it just to have a drink with the lovely Keith.
Word life.
Ahahahah good point. I would’ve quit for sure a long ass time ago if I had to play with some of those grimy east coast cats.
I don’t know why the forums pissed me off so bad yesterday. Slightly embarrassing.
Super lol @ anyone claiming the scene is dead… We’re just bickering like we always do.
Thank you @ drew (who indeed is always on point) for pointing out all forums are stupid like this. I have seen worse drama on forums, I guess it just irritates me more when I know all the people involved and know they’re capable of acting better.
I wanna practice before saturday… Too bad my phone’s incapacitated. Fugg.
i read the bold as “auto-tune” that shit would be tight. then everything would be entertaining. maybe i should wake up a lil bit more.
anyways, dramas in every scene and this scene in particular like to label things as drama every chance there is. this situation is no drama. its a challenge of skill. a test to see who is better. an exhibition to show WHO IS THE DEADLIEST WARRIOR!!!
For a scene that’s not really good at Street Fighter you guys sure do talk a lot.
