Out of curiosity I asked my mom who is a lawyer, and the location would definitely be considered a clause of a verbal contract we have with the tournament organizers. But filing fees for small claims court are higher than any one of our entry fees so of course it isn’t right, but you cannot just say “no refunds” and make it a legal fact. In this case “no refunds” is only true because it would be too expensive/not worth the time to force the refund via court.
And I might be being misunderstood, I just don’t appreciate a flippant attitude about something that is definitely in the wrong like that.

I don’t appreciate your attitude either and don’t understand how frank is in the wrong. If you didn’t understand there were no refunds on this event when you handed him the money then you’re in the wrong IMO. If you’re butthurt over it that much how about I’ll just pay for you to drop out? Or find you a replacement? Jesus christ. There are plenty of people who would love to be a part of this event that can’t be. You act like Frank just decided one day that he wanted to have the event at his apartments so it would be closer to him. You realize that this is a huge upset to him more than anyone else and he is trying his hardest to remedy the situation, right?
And yeah didn’t frank say that it may possibly be back at BW in like a week or two?

I agree that there are no refunds if what we all signed up for takes place: Tournaments at Brella’s. I for sure would let you cash me out of TW if the price was right, get at me. :tup:
I’d say if you wanna drop out do it. I know there are TONS of people that would hand you $35 airthrow to take your spot. Frank willingly I think that’d be a fair out. The money stays in the pockets of the people who want/need it and someone who doesn’t bitch and whine gets to play and enjoy themselves.
Well I’m bluffing on the money front as I have absolutely no money. I was just extremely irritated by your posts but if it’s an option I’ll help look for a replacement. Can’t be that hard, though maybe brent would want someone local-ish so practice could be possible.

Last week’s event was pretty awesome, the stream was lookin great. It was nice to commentate again =], and we had some great matches.
As I stated before TW’s was only going to be at the dojo that one time. As of today I still haven’t heard any news from BW about us coming back, but it’s only been a few days since I talked with them so yeah.
With that said this week’s TW’s as well as subsequent events until further notice will be held at the Freedom Bunker aka Newberry Square:

Our apartment complex has a conference room that we can use at anytime as long as we plan ahead. The rules are very simple for the conference room:
Clean up what you mess up.
And don’t get too loud.
Unfortunately, the conference room is looking to hold about 20-25 people so I am asking that only those participating in TW’s come out to the event (plus robert, Mac, or Tepid).
Also with this being held in the conference room at our apartment complex the schedule has been changed to fit the availability of the room. Instead of TW’s running from 7pm-3am, it is now running Noon-8pm. Until we go back to BW this will be the permanent schedule.

Just an FYI: I will need mine and Nolan’s matches to be the last ones on the card for the 19th if it’s at the Bunker because I don’t get off work till 5, meaning not there till about 6.
Can my HDR match be scheduled as late as possible, I always have saturdays until afternoon booked.

First I paid for HDR and Super, so it would be…whatever amount HDR cost as well. Plus me and Dan beat the two probably roughest teams in our HDR division already, so a competent player has a good shot at getting in the money from HDR. So, I can be bribed away but not at face value after I put work in and my teams are 5-2 right now.
My team in CS took a team from CAL-O to CAL-M in Source in 1 season, then we sold our spot to some dude who paid $300 for it. The easiest $60 I ever made.
What you think a 5-2 record is worth? You gotta wait till your team is guaranteed for Play-offs then sell the spot at double the cost.
