Two Questions concerning the HRAP EX SE and LS 32

Hello good peoples of srk!

First question, I did some browsing and could not find any information on if it was possible to switch out the spring on the ls 32 to make it not so stiff. So, is this indeed possible? Would a JLF spring fit?

Second question is a bit odd i know but ill throw it out there anyways. I’m a bit broke and in no position to be screwing up my HRAP EX SE and I was curious if there were any modders out there who would be willing to give up some their precious free time in either guiding me in the process of swapping out the LS 32 (if indeed i cant change the spring) or actually helping me in person with this process (i live in socal and i’ll pay lol!). anywho thanks!

I don’t think Seimitsu LS-32(-01) can get softer.
That is because no other Joystick Spring fits.

Shaft of LS-32(-01) is thicker than all other Seimitsu Joysticks and Sanwa JLF.
And so Spring has bigger diameter [LS-40(-01) same Spring].

Then that means Spring of other Joysticks not fit Seimitsu LS-32(-01).
That is because Springs of other Joysticks are smaller diameter than the Shaft.

What you can try is shortening the Spring, and burning it.

Second thing, I’m SoCal.

If someone see correction needed in my Post, do so.
I want to learn.

can the hori ex se 360 take a jlf?

Desolder or cut wires from Seimitsu Joystick Microswitches.
Cut Traces on Sanwa JLF PCB.
Solder wires back on.

For that, ignore the Wire Harness, actually do solder to where I say not to, and do solder to colored dots.

Solder directly to Microswitches, either under PCB or there.

You can solder off the Microswitches from TP-MA.
Dispose of the PCB and just use the Microswitches.

You can replace the whole TP-MA with four individual Microswitches.
But why do that?

Or you can find a Sanwa JLF-TM-8.
Solder to it like the Seimitsu, or use Quick Disconnects.
