I am afraid the inevitable is here. Last night in the middle of a SFV session, the HK button (RT) stopped responding. And so did the LT button. I opened up the case, checked the cable, it was plugged in. I swapped the button for another to see if that one worked, still nothing. I want to be able to access the PCB but does anyone know how to remove the red glue off the screws inside the case (the glue to the plastic cover over the buttons and the PCB). I can’t unscrew it without destroying the screw as they’re firmly glued in place.
The red glue is really just that.
I take needle-nose pliers, and crush/pinch it off.
BUT.
If you want to access the buttons and the PCB on a old TE, why are you opening it from the bottom?
Just open the casing from the top via the 6 bolts on the top-panel.
I pick at the glue with a old dentist pick
LOL oh ya, I didn’t realize you an open from the top. That was way easier! Man I could’ve saved myself so many headaches trying to swap out all the buttons I did a few days ago. Any way the stick is mysteriously working again. I opened up the stick, checked all connections and it’s all good. Huh. Well fingers crossed it doesn’t do this again mid game. Thank you for your responses and the suggestion on opening from top!
Could be ether a loose wire or it could be static interference. Do you play on top of a table or your lap?
I play on table top.
