Twin Stick & Twin Kaimana Question Please Help

Hi All…First Post :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

I have some questions if I may… (N00b)

I had Jasen Form “Jasen’s Customs” make me a “TWIN STICK” Fight box

The reason for Twin Sticks, is because I love “Robotron 2084” and “Tank” games
as well as the Fighting games

I planed on using an XBox controller board so I can use Both Sticks

QUESTIONS PLEASE

#1
Am I the first to do this?
If not can you paste some Links please

#2
Is the XBox controller the only options for “Twin Stick’s”

#3
How would you suggest I Wire the TWIN Kaimanas to the XBox controller?

Thanks in advance

Regards rick

Why did you think you need 2 kaimanas?

Because I have16 LED’s and maybe more to come
And the kaimana can only do 13 correct

Regards rick

Far from the first but here is a mod I done that is similar

Oh Thanks…

Regards rick

got any questions I be willing to answer.

On my Dual stick, the Right side flight stick is wired to (in no particular order) the A, B, X and Y buttons on the X box 360 PCB or P1, P2, K1 and K2 buttons if you want to go by the button labels on the kaimana.

You shouldn’t need 2 since the PCB you will use only has 12 signals. Simply wire the switches to which ever button inputs you want to assign it as Dark described for the second stick.

@Darksakul
Thank you very much
Yes I looked at your thread …very cool for sure

@NENDO
Again I have many other buttons and LED’s not installed yet (Not just 12)

That’s Y i need 2 kaimanas
I will use them to light up the other stick and other 3 buttons and other LED’s I install

I need 2 so I can use the software to control them in sequence

Regards rick

14 buttons and 2 sticks? what you have in mind? As far as lights go the kaimana go it can support alot more LEDs.

You can try the Kamana thread for assistance

There have been Kaimana builds with 30+ software controlled LEDs on one board. Bottom line, the PCB has 4 face buttons, 4 shoulder buttons, 2-3 system buttons, and 4 directions. Anything else will be a duplicate of one of those or a led with no switch. LEDs without buttons (like if you were to simply light the inside of the case or the feet or something) can still be wired to the same kaimana and controlled by the software to enable animations that can be based on the inputs of the other signals.

Oh…You mean Daisy Chained ?

I want a progression of lights and I thought to control each individual light i would need 2 Kaimana
Your saying one Kaimana can control 30+ lights individually ?

I will pick up this thread in the Kaimana thread

Those sticks seem to mounted directly to metal panel. Shouldn’t there be spacers to get the proper stick height?

The one joystick with the green gate appears to be a Seimitsu ls-32 joystick (or a zippy clone)
if you aren’t using the long shaft, it would be at the correct height.

The other (yellow one) seems to be one of PAS light up LED Joysticks, I am not sure on the mounting height.

Same as LS-32, I think.
