TVC US version character changes (to be updated)

PTX can still use riot tackle + Baroque to get in close, still has chainsaws to reach out and get him while he’s off spamming though weapon switch + shield gun makes it difficult to tag him Rock Also doesn’t have much life, so missile to level 3 tends to do a lot to him.

But ok, I agree that the matchup is still bad due to how he can constantly spam while still keeping safe for the most part. But I don’t think it’s fair for them to add a huge delay to weapon change.

Mach Speed into Polymar Shinkuu-kakatekoma always worked. One of the cincinnati players does it constantly, VERY good damage.

Are Saki’s unblockable team supers still in the game? I totally forgot to ask about that.

Speaking of unblockable, I’ve read that Casshern’s unblockable denkou punch takes longer to charge, but just how much?
I take it this isn’t possible anymore.

A full second or two longer. Firedog into Denkou doesnt work anymore, but if you put an assist in the middle you may be able to make it work.

So wait, was there no news on PTX after all? did nobody play him? Not being pushy, but I’m just curious because I remember ll.nd specifically asked for that as did I.

some guy vs some capcom people. We get a good look at Souki’s oni mode again.

Wow, he sure recovers a lot of life when he absorbs greens. Honestly, if you combo into Oni mode I really don’t think it will be worthless anymore…well if you want to gamble on getting green souls.

Zero’s Rekkouha can be useful as a counter-style move if your opponent is committing to something big.

Souki looks damn good this time around.

I played a lot of Souki back in the Japanese version and liked him, so I’m really excited about his new options. But I still don’t really care much for Oni mode.

So basically Zero’s Rekkouhai will be godlike as a DHC move, that’s good to know seeing how it isn’t that good alone (The fact that the range and way that it hits it’s weird doesn’t make it a very good move alone, it seems that it can be punished easily) but this is obviously just a speculation from what can be seen in the videos.

And as Yourmother said, is a shame that no one has been able to use genei-jin super in a positive way, we still are speculating about it’s real use because of that.

I hope that Roll’s assist will be able to make this unblockeable still work, Casshern loosing the unblockeable’s usefulness like this is somewhat of a big nerf.

wiat whats up with yatterman_2

rolls assist will give him unblockables anyway. call assist jump in or overhead dog. if his divekicks are overehead that will work too.

I know, Genei Jin is a fair name to refer to that lvl1 move, but IMO it shouldn’t, 'cause it might cause confusion:

[LIST]
[*]Genei Jin is about making juggles like no tomorrow, no attack box on shadows casted by Yun.

[*]Seiei Embu is about making huge combos with big chances of crossups and mind games too; this time the shadows casted by Yang can hit the opponent.
[/LIST]

I’m not saying stop calling it like that, but for the noobs around that probably had GJ nightmares with 3rdS at certain point, it might be taken as sth to stay away from the game XD (I use Yun on 3rdS, I have met crybabies like that sometimes), it just it looks more like a nerfed V-Ism more than a Genei Jin type super.

:my2cents:

I think the same thing. I mean, 3s not even being a game liek marvel [mentioning this because japanese TvC allowed so many possible infinites not counting megacrash], still, aside from those two characters, Oro has a better super [tengu stone] then Zero [so far only judging from what we’ve seen) that allows for more hits onto a combo, considering the amount of damage output onto the opponent, AND how you don’t have to only use special moves. If it turns them off, oh well. Ppl in my city are far from hyped about this game, and most of em more into SF4 than other shit [although there are a few 3s heads that don’t care much about the game anymore], but it’s their loss. Online perfected plz.

Yeah well we were just calling it a genei-jin because it’s one of the most famous custom combos and it has a short and easy to use name, unlike saying “when zero goes into his V-ism style custom combo” or something like that, you can just say “activates genei-jin”.

Screw DHC from Rekkouha though…I can’t wait to try DHC’ing into Zero’s genei-jin and continuing into a souped up combo. >:3

And you guys…it IS more similar to Genei jin. After all, Zero doesn’t create shadows unless he does a special attack. Other than that, it seems to speed up his combos .

Is it me or does the overall damage seem to be weaker for everyone?

It seems about the same to me.

Since there are no more infinites and a lot of the bs has been toned down, I think we’re seeing the damage is a little less per combo.

I’m also thinking that megacrash is going to be devalued bit because of this. Hopefully we can start to see more supers being used, or more DHC/VC’s even though they have been downpowered. We aren’t going to need to conserve meter so strictly now.

Isn’t there more damage scaling in this game? That must be it.

Well I’ll just amp the damage output then.

I don’t see what’s wrong with less damage.

It just means you’ll need to engage the opponent more times, which is more fun than killing them off in a single combo.
