Ippatsuman’s arms are telegraphed and easy to dodge. The only REAL use, in HIGH LEVEL play, for Souki and Ippatsu lv3s, are to eat up time. You can disagree all you want, but you’ll still be wrong.
First off, the words are you and will.
“You’ll crank a soulja boi, aight” WTF
Second if that is how you feel sir I could give 2 shit less really because, Keits, “High Level TvC” does not exist in the western world. You can disagree all you want but I will know you are located in or around the Green Bay area (Better yet, your location tells me you are not a part of the high level TvC scene ok?) and not give 2 shits ok?
Regarding Ippatsuman’s megazord, please refer to @ 3:40
All it amounts to is a nice game of jump rope.
Also, Souki’s lv3 is definitely best used as a time waster. I’m glad they got rid of the super armor for UAS, it’s for the better.
ippastuman’s level3 looks ridiculously cool, but now knowing u can just hit the crystal out makes it sound lame and pointless.
as for souki, couldn’t u fake sum punishable move (since all of his moves are in certain situations)>baroque>level3>punish? He’s one of the ppl i wanna play with most along with blade, karas, cashern, viewtiful joe, condor joe [if he’s appealing], doronjo, chun-li [and hyopthetically zero]…
EDIT (after seeing ll.nd’s post): so this on the first page of the thread:
- Oni mode no longer has special hyper armour…
- But Souki draws out 2 souls per hit now.
does that mean his hits won’t cause extra damage, but he’ll get more life regained? how silly. it’s liek they cut the super in half in terms of usefulness. level 1.5 for 3 bars?
^ Please stop. I love all you guys out there in “Can I fool yah” I would hate to make a snap judgement. But on a serious note tell royal not to do the last hit on polymar’s 623 attack attack 63214attack. It causes free fall that means no reset. if he pulls out on the second hit he still gets the reset. It only really matters in long combos I guess but the whole point of the easy ass reset is to yah know get a damage reset. If they are in freefall you still combo.
Just a side note but the vid was mad funny to me because Lightan has noting to stop 236A by Ippatsuman. It is really all he had to do. Really!!!
Frankly, This will probably make Souki’s Oni mode slightly less terrible, since people will be less likely to just run away from you, which Souki has absolutely jack shit he can do about it. There are probably other changes to it too, my guess is he gets a damage boost or they make the soul cancel thingy faster for combo potential, but honestly, that thing was just bad. They said it was a “level 5 super” because if you had 5 bars, it would take them all, and you would proceed to get buttfucked with no juicy megacrash lube.
Same thing goes for the robot. Sorry to say.
EDIT: K we know you can’t get hit in the robot, the point is, you can’t hit them either, and once it’s done, you’re COMPLETELY out of bar, which means all but certain death in TvC.
yeah, even if sum1 fell for a whiff and you killed them in oni mode (which you could’ve done with another super if their life was that low), their partner won’t be liekly to be stupid enough to fall for another whiff, thus liek u said, i’d fail with sumthing as simple as sum1 running away for a few seconds, and be left with 0bar. idk y i didn’t think of that before >_<
Tomorrow
Haha I got a good laugh out of that.
Ippatasuman’s levlel 3 has a dead zone in any corner, and most of the swings are predictable. for the most part, it’s just good for wasting time. That’s it.
Given that he will have Ken runaway properties in the US version, this might not be such a bad thing after all.
Also Stan, stop acting like a nub please. Keits has been playing since the game first came out, as have most of us posting here. It’s commonly known fact that Ippatsuman’s level 3’s uses are dubious at best, and the same goes for Souki unless you combo into it. Now his level 3 doesn’t even have super armour, meaning that if you stop to try to absorb any of those souls, you’re going to get hurt unless you super jump and cover yourself with an assist.
it’s liek beating sum crazily-easy boss that lieks to waste his potential power source! :looney: still, i remember when he wasted that super and still beat him on sum other match >_< what’s up with saetan and dat srs business?
Tomorrow
Saetan - Enough of the flamebaiting. Everyone else, just keep it on topic and ignore him. There are souki and ippatsu sections to discuss the current uses (or non-uses) of those supers. EDIT - And I see you’ve edited all of your inflammatory posts. Lesson learned?
Everyone else - We all know how ‘good’ those moves are, so no farther need to feed the troll.
God I love being a Turtle
Ippatsuman’s baseballs are also quite laggy projectiles. Spam those against PTX and you are going to get riot tackled into wallbounce into OTG 2C baroque 2C or worse.
Against a smart PTX player who knows how to use riot tackle and baroque to get around, wussy projectile spamming is not a threat. Other than that, what does Ippatsuman have when it comes to beating Giants? Nothing that Ken the Eagle can’t do better.
Now don’t forget to take your pills.
Yeah honestly, Ippatsu is good, but idk how his runaway could be at CGH Ken levels. Ken had that projectile that would hit twice and tap away other shit, which was just retarded levels of safety, not to mention his straight up ability to get MAD high and just stay there.
Anyway, this thread is getting mad derailed.
Judging from these new videos of Jun, it seems you can’t combo after her mirage swan again. In an earlier test build, she could. I don’t know whether to change it or not.
So who’s going to Season’s Beatings 4 to test out the new version? I plan on having another lengthy write up of the changes that I notice.
being able to combo after hitting (combobreak) megacrash still being in the US version is blehhh

being able to combo after hitting (combobreak) megacrash still being in the US version is blehhh
It scales pretty hardcore, so I’m ok with it.
