I literally just got my hands on the game, and i’m looking for people in socal that want to play some casuals. I live in Orange County, got one guy with me that would 99% be done to play almost anytime.
No rush at all, I’m just tired of playing the same person at every fighting game i own.
FFA in granada hills has a TvC machine that I frequently visit on weekends. Other than that, check out the pacific south matchmaking or tournament & event boards for the biweekly denjin ranbats!
I organize bi-weekly tournaments at Denjin Arcade in Simi Valley. I’ll make a tournament page for the next tournament that will be held on 5-9-09.
Before tournament days (usually Fridays), we (ll.nd, Devil Tron, and me) usually hold casuals sessions at my house in Canyon Country. On tourney days, we do casuals before and after the tournament.
BTW, I am the self-proclaimed voice of SoCal TvC. Just read my sig ;P. The tournaments I hold are being run in order to give EVO staff a wider selection of players to enter for the 64-man TvC invitational at this year’s EVO.
i’m curious about this. how exactly are they selecting 64 people, and is it US players only? if it was japanese players as well, wouldnt they just take all 64 selections from there? and if i hold tvc tournies around my area, will the winners possibly be given consideration to be invited? i live in the DC area so i’m sure i could find SOME people who play around here.
^^^I can’t say for a fact how and where from EVO staff is selecting the 64 players for the invitational.
I’ve only been speculating and I can’t tell them to choose all players that have made it to my tournaments; that’s what my vids are for. I want to say that they will invite players from the U.S. and abroad (but only Japan comes to mind). Tournaments should be run to give individual players a better reputation, they cannot, however, guarantee spots in the invitational; EVO staff ultimate decides.
