Yeah no wii hori would make me pretty sad. What about having 2 wiimotes sync-ed up to each system at all times and just plug your controllers in and out of them? I’m sure you could scrounge up enough wiimotes to do that in most instances, and then you’d never have to worry about syncing problems?
All rules seem fair so far.
Only thing I don’t agree with is outright banning use of Wiimote based controls. I also don’t have a GC stick or converter and while I’d love to be able to use my modded HRAP instead of the stock Wii Hori, at this point I don’t have money to get a converter, seems like many others will be in a similar situation.
Another option would be for the tournament to provide converters. I would support this, if there were some way to keep Wiimotes/converters secure.
what about gamecube controllers with buttons mapped differently from default?

I actually don’t agree with the banning of any characters unless there is good reason for it (such as ST Akuma).
I agree. Also agree that banning wiimotes would be awful.
Why ban V. Joe and giants? It’s not like the giants are overpowered, and I haven’t seen Joe’s infinite actually used effectively in a match yet (unless you are banning him for his game freezing glitches).

No characters are banned, period.
Please don’t be so rash with your decisions. I use the classic controller because I haven’t used a stick in far too long, and I am quite capable of holding my own in the game. I have absolutely no qualms with removing my battery after I play in order to prevent anything adverse from happening, and I will only put my battery back in when I synch to a new Wii via the red buttons. There should be nothing wrong with that, right? That is the same rule we have in Brawl, which has worked perfectly so far.

Yeah I got a Wii Hori stick too. If I go to a tourney and wiimotes are banned and I can’t use my stick, I’d be inclined to walk out.

I think the only issue its going to solve is the giants one. Someone correct me if im wrong but they are selectable in the arcade ver., right?
Whats the situation with arcade and those wii secret characters? Will they be unlocked in arcade or not? If a tourney wants to ban 1 secret character it would only make sense to ban all 4 of them.
Yea not knowing if the wii characters are in the arcade version as well does cause an issue. But yes, the giant problem is one that needs to be solved.
And yea, I figured it was arcade for this game still… I wish the rules were available.
