This is too difficult for me xD

Im buy the classic pro ^^ Maybe whit this controller…

Those of you saying that the input is 669. When I turn on the key display, it never comes out for me doing it this way. I get it consistently when doing 6669. I suspect that you guys saying 669 works are accidentally pressing forward on your way to u/f, so it seems like you didn’t press forward when you actually did. In the key display you should see 3 forward arrows and one u/f arrow. 2 forward arrows and one u/f will not give you the dash.
I think the reason you need the 3rd forward input is because you need to tap forward twice for a dash. You do it twice for the first dash, then for the 2nd dash it seems like the game reads u/f as a forward input before you jump. If you just press 669, you are only doing one forward input for the second dash, and that won’t ever work. You need 4 forward inputs for 2 dashes.
zeroo, there’s no need to buy a classic controller just to do the glitch. I do it just fine using the cube controller.
Yep, I’ve (finally) turned on key display and I actually have the same results. I never see 669 - always 6669.
(Actually I always see 66696…but maybe that’s just me? Inputting that way seems much easier, like a very quick rolling motion on the pad.)
Uh… I’ve had the 669 input come out on several instances.
Thank You, the best post right here explaining how to actually do it, instead of the 669 command input…
Alot different from lp+hp + down wave dashing…
So I’ve gotten this to work twice so far. I need to work more on this.
Man, I’m also helpless with this glitch on the GC controller. I just can’t figure it out!
i do 6669 on classic controller, it’s easier than 6696. the way i do the last 69 is to just hit 6 then slide up and off of the right part of the Dpad, you don’t want to try and hit the up direction with it – just slide your thumb off the top of the right direction on the dpad really fast. You can even do it slightly up and to the right away from the top part, just make sure you do it fast. Depending on your character you will have to slow down or speed up the pause between 66 and 69.
Dang gonna have to test this out later.
Looks pretty cool.
**Read the Bolded parts if you think the following is too long. **
Everything else isn’t really important.
Zero and Roll has been my mains since I unlocked Zero yesterday Night.
Zero’s Wavedash is marginally faster than dashing and running.
Not so, Roll’s Double dash was actually Easier than Zero’s for me. and worked just as well as other characters judging by what I saw from the videos of the other characters and experimenting with Zero.
From what people have said about Timing the 9 while the character slows down, It works for roll as well, but Unlike Zero, she doesn’t need it. She can go an entire length of the screen even if you wavedash before she starts decelerating…
As well, I recall someone saying Backdashes are slower than forward dashes, so it isn’t as useful to wavedash backwards…
Actually, Roll’s backdash is just as fast as her forward dash, When I got her back wavedash working I thought to myself, This is gonna be useful to charge my broom and to heal.
I found that for both characters, If you do the Wavedash inputs too fast, Yes, It will cancel the animation of the first dash and it’s pretty pointless.
I did my wavedashes the 669 way, … Can’t fathom how the LMH method works, Can’t figure it out for the life of me.
It’s pretty easy, I can consistently do it after about 10 mins of practicing. Havn’t tried it in a match yet though.
Here’s what I found from my imperfect inputs:
6698 Will make me jump
but 6696 I will still wavedash.
nice
thank you for this find.
stuff like this will help the game grow alot
well i would call it the ghost dash aka G dash but if anything i like super dash :cybot:
After experimenting more with Roll I found that you really have to do the inputs for her as slow as you can within the timeframe to get the best dash…
Like, do 66 as slow as you can while the game can still recognize the dash, and do the 9 after the same delay as the 6s.
That way, either nothing comes out, Or I get the “good” wave dash, not the one that cancels the first dash too early.
I like wave dash… but would like to put in a vote for perv dashing… because of the sweet and easy input description
Hey guys, been practicing this for a while and still can’t get it out. Is there like an easy way for you guys to do this? Is it like a circular motion after the dash to the 9 postion? I have a gc controller and more comfortable with the analog. So is it easier with the d-pad? Also, when you do the glitch, does it last for the whole match? Sorry for the questions but really want to get this thing in my playing style
Hey guys, been practicing on this for a while on my gc controller and still can’t get it out. Is there an easy way for you guys to do it? Is it like a roll motion to the 9 position after the dash? Trying to figure out the timing as well, can’t tell if Im too slow or what lol. Also, once done, does it last the who match? Sorry for the mass questions, really want to add this to my play style
whoops, double post, sorry
It’s difficult to pull off precise 8-way directional inputs with any kind of analog. No idea how the GCN analog in particular stacks up though. The d-pad might be easier, but the GCN’s d-pad was always too small for my tastes.
On a d-pad, I think this is performed easiest by tapping forward twice to dash, then tapping forward again and just barely grazing the up-diagonal input before lifting my thumb.
Timing is also important for this. The command for the final 9 input should be entered at about the same time your character begins to slow down from their first dash.
So would you do this in the middle of the dash, like when the character is in the air of his dash or afterwards? Also would you say you rolled your thumb to the up-diagnal input or quickly pressed it. Over all, can’t tell if I should do it super fast or if it can work with slow button inputs
Wow, Im going to try. So it seems you have to do it fast because everytime I do it, I jump so obviously, I am doing something wrong. heard A+B+C works too. Do you think that is easier or the d-pad? Do you think I should just order the cc pro?
This might be my only post, but I’d just like to express my thoughts about people who wish to see this technique patched:
Why would you want to remove a technique that adds more depth, and more options to most of the cast?
The technique should be wholeheartedly accepted by the FGC, and people should look into expanding upon this.
This is mostly a response to the casualfags and anti-smash people on youtube, but I noticed a few negative comments about the technique, and smash, and figured that I might as well bring up a small argument for this technique.
Also this is just yet another reason for why I should pick up TvC. Too bad my current starter can’t utilise it. =[ (Zero)
