The Vegas thing did not happen, but it was good to just space out at home and play video games.

I am down to play pretty much anything. I have 3rd strike and KOF and Sam Sho and stuff too. So we can play online, even if there is a little lag. Also, VF5…For god sakes, all you 360 owners get on the fucking ball… It is laggless… I swear to baby Jesus it is goddamn amazing.
Also, you foolios should get some Senko No Ronde going…$10…that is dirt cheap, and that game owns my face and has online play…

Basically there’s new management at Bookman’s who doesn’t think too highly of our 2D escapades (nor videogaming in general). I could either severely compromise the way we do things or quit, and given how much I’m going to have to do next semester, I have to bow out.

This is some terrible news. What you do for the local gaming community is fantastic. It gave me a chance to meet some cool new people and it gave me the drive to try to up my game. Your tourney’s were always one of the highlights of my week…and now they are going.

I won’t rule out doing it again, but without going into detail, these events will just have to go on hiatus for a while. The main person who provided me with the opportunity to do this is ill and there’s no telling when he will be back, so until he returns, this sucker is mothballed. I personally would like to do it on a grander scale, with some actual advertising, bigger prizes, the whole nine. But again, the situation is such that it would be very tough to keep them going in the current environment. In short, without the direct support of this person, it don’t fly.
I’d mainly like to thank everyone who ever came. Without players, there is no event. BTW, I’d actually like to sit down and play with y’all since as the referee I can never compete in these things myself. :smokin:

Your tournaments gave this scrub the opportunity to get out and get some real competitive practice, and the ass kickings provided me with the motivation to try harder and gain a little more Street Fighter skill.
