Heihachi is a monster in this game. The only thing I notice that is bad about him is that he can be predictable - What I mean is that he hardly has any really good low pokes besides db+2, Hell Sweeps, and df+4. The only reason I don’t play him is because he is a little too straight forward for my taste’s. Although, he has good synergy with multiple characters - like Xiaoyu for example! Xiaoyu and Heihachi can get rage very quickly if they fight as a team. Xiaoyu can cover for Heihachi lacks a good mix ups and low pokes. Sounds simple right?
Xiaoyu players - don’t forget to use her speed to your advantage and she has a very good parry (1+4).
Some other Mishima would be cool with Heihachi obviously - preferably one with a few good lows… like Kazuya. Kazuya needs help in the poking game, so Heihachi can give Kazuya the assistance he needs for safe poking. Why not try things like Steve/Heihachi? Perhaps Nina and Heihachi can be a deadly combination?
There’s another post in this thread about Nina/Heihachi. Both of them can be a very deadly combination despite the low netsu charge. Xiaoyu/Heihachi sounds really fun, though.
I get what you are saying. But IMO hei has always been solid. In the past HEI never made any players duck cause as you stated he didn’t have any good lows. Now with db+2 giving +5 on hit it gives a reason for people to duck him now. Remember all it takes is one good real low to change a game. Like for example most of Nina lows are pokes which doesn’t give you a really good reason to duck. Now hei excution game probably went down a bit but hei along with other mishima’s all have the best mix up game cause you get so many good options from the WD. WD hell sweep, WD iws, WD electric. But one thing hei lacks is 12 frame moves that have range.
How do people feel about Asuka/Bob?
Doing not bad with this team in arcades based on not knowing Bob too well, and thinking of trying to develop it.
저는 론 버건디 입니까?
Here’s something really stupid:

That’s Lar’s and Raven - Lars may be one of the more better characters for someone like Raven because of the damage output from those juggles, as well as wall combos. Raven is not that most simple characters to play be you guys might want to take him into consider when you are building a team.
Now I do have other crazy ideas in minds. XiaoMiharu/Asuka.
The players can get plenty of AOP set ups off of Asuka. Asuka herself is a good character to start with, and the damage on her own juggles are quite delicious - Both of the characters also have very damage TA! and wall combos as well and both the characters mix-ups are strong - Xiaoyu/Miharu can help Asuka with lows as she seems to have a few better options (especially Miharu).
You guys should also try Marduk/Jack-6. This team is as cheap as it sounds.
But hey we also have some tournament footage. We can provide some actual game play footage of some teams as well, just to see how they might turn out.

Following teams:
- Paul/Marduk
- Kazuya/Devil Jin
- A.Ogre/Ogre
 Team is moderately retarded that has really high situational damage.
Asuka can tag Bob in, too, not for combos (although she can and is awesome at doing it), but also for free damage/oki situations for Bob. I am not too experienced with Bob, but if he cover Asuka’s bad matchups and punish effectively where she cannot, then he’s a solid partner for her.
So I have tried out the Xiaoyu/Leo team and I enjoy it a lot . I still have a lot of work to regarding combos, but this is a fun team. If anyone understand Xiaoyu’s playstyle, or Miharu’s, let me know. No one around here knows her. Even if another teammate is better than Leo.
Also, Feng/Leo is fun too, but I think I like Xiaoyu more.
Feng/Leo is cheeeeeeeeeap, LOL.
Great minds think alike. I’ve been thinking of switching from Jaycee to Leo recently. I even made the von Karma and Seargent Calhoun costumes for Leo.
For Xiaoyu’s playstyle, her key thing is going to be movement and mind games. Know which moves will do a sidestep for you (RDS and AOP do SSR), your movement options from stances and positions, etc. She is best suited for poking (despite her size) and whiff punishing until you get in close and start putting on pressure up close. Some examples of mind games would be to strings half way to put the opponent in a false sense of security. Another example would be to actually complete a string like actually completing the 1, d+2, 1+2 string, but you’re going on a guess here.
I only know how to play 2 characters in this game - Kunimitsu and Feng Wei. I’m thinking of learning some more characters in case I have to play on a console without the dlc characters or any other bullshit that will prevent me from picking Kuni. Besides Dragunov, who else goes well with Feng out of these characters:
Asuka
Miguel
Jaycee
Hwoarang
Zafina
Bryan
I have also seen a combo breakdown video on YT for Lei/Feng. Is Lei difficult to learn?
All of the said characters are viable with Feng, especially Lei himself. Lei is somewhat difficult to learn but is manageable on lower levels - overtime, you will memorize the moves from his stances… and which moves that go into his stances. One of my friends known as Ocelot started playing Lei very recently and he knows a lot of Lei’s BnB’s already. Try to research Lei’s practical BnB combo’s and learn what to do when you want to mix up or poke the opponent out.
As for the other characters… Should Kuni become unavailable to you at some point, I can see you playing Hwoarang - but he is a knowledge based character and a lot of his stances are purely situational. What should be noted however is that Hwoarang has a TON of useful TA fillers (uf+3,4 or d+4,4 for example) Zafina is more or less the same way, but if you know how to player her well, then you’re most likely win a lot because of your mix ups and combo set ups. If you intend on playing Jaycee, I can help you with that - Jaycee can really stupid and the damage output on her juggle’s are quite generous. TA fillers would be things like Jaycee’s f+2,2,1. The last hit of that particular filler will launch the opponent even higher buying Feng enough time to finish his combo. Jaycee also has a isw (running aerial throw = f,f,f+2+4) that which she can end her combos with. Jaycee herself also has a lot great throws and mix up options, especially from Shot Gun (d,df+2~3 or 4 and the follow ups from there). Last, it is possible to come up with quite a few devious traps and set ups off of Jaycee herself as well, because she has some useful unblockable moves as well, such as 1+4 where she jumps and body slams herself on the opponent. Another thing to consider is that both Feng and Jaycee can do an absurd about of damage by using the wall. If you need any further help with Jaycee, PM me - because I do have experience with on and offline and she isn’t too far from my main character Michelle. From there, I can elaborate a little more. I have not really played Feng before, but I do know quite a few things about him, outside of match up details during a match. Now, Asuka is pretty simple to play. Just don’t forget about her parries and her whiff punishes. Asuka possesses a lot of good tag bufferable moves as well, so take note of that.
The other character mentioned are good matches for Feng, but I suggest you consider Hwo, Asuka, or Jaycee - Lei is also a good choice, but you need to highlight his BnB’s and situational tools.

Lei is a full time job. I already have one of those, which is why I do not pick that character.
And WHERE did I mention Leo? Not to be rude, but I don’t care if she’s top-tier. She’s not one of the characters I’m interested in learning.
<blockquote class=“Quote”>
<div class=“QuoteAuthor”>I don’t see any reason to not try out Leo/Feng. It’s a very solid team with no glaring weaknesses (to my knowledge, please correct me if there is) and strong overall game. And is Leo actually “top” tier? I believe she’s mashed somewhere into the top/mid section with half the cast.</div><div class=“QuoteAuthor”><br></div><div class=“QuoteAuthor”>Edit: HOW DO YOU DELETE POSTS WITH THIS NEW FANGLED FREAKING SRK</div><div class=“QuoteAuthor”>Edit edit: Xiaoyu partner synergy? From what little I’ve seen, Feng, Jaycee, Heihachi, Leo, and Lili all seem to complement Xiaoyu rather well. While I’m playing Xiaoyu/Wang, I’ve been hesitant to learn another character for no particular reason. Perhaps it has something to do with my playing many games, but I like to stick to what I know before I try new things.</div><div class=“QuoteAuthor”>That said, any ideas about which other characters help Wang out? I’ve seen Jinpachi, Feng, and Bob at times.</div></blockquote>
To add to Oathkeeper’s suggestion on partners, you should pick the ones that suit you personally. I can probably get higher damage consistently with Leo, but she’s far too rigid for me so I stayed with Jaycee’s who’s a lot more mobile and flexible. For whatever reason, I’m not the biggest fan of characters with a lot of strings.<br>
Trying a new team Lars/JC. She has always been one of my fav characters since T3 (i think she was in that one). There wall damage is crazy but then so is most people’s with Lars.
Went back to Asuka/Leo since I cannot resist bajiquan in any form (Helena~ <3).<div><br></div><div>Taking a month or two away from that team really opens my eyes more on how to play it effectively.</div><div><br></div><div>Seeing Leo in a new light actually makes me want to learn her more. I spent the beginning of this game whining about how she was nerfed so bad and how unsafe her stuff was and didn’t bother actually getting over any of that and taking a fresh look at the character.</div><div><br></div><div>Still running pocket Heihachi/Bruce for when I’m feeling extra gay.</div>
Picked Asuka back up and I’m teaming her up with Bruce and Michelle!
To elaborate a little more on both characters… What really needs to be understood is that both Asuka and Bruce do a stupid amount of damage together, especially towards the wall. Bruce himself is already a noteworthy character as of TTT2. Asuka compliments Bruce very nicely with her own set of tools (high/mid parry, nice pokes,
I have not completely tested this team out yet, but I did play offline with this particular team a few times. For tag fillers on Bruce’s part, he can go for a lot devious strings like b+444 (especially at the wall). Another things to note that Bruce has really damaging combo finishers such f,df+3+4. Bruce’s b+2 is also very good for poking and catching back rollers. More research will be conducted on the Asuka/Bruce team. But, please keep in mind that both of the said characters do A LOT of crazy damage together. In fact, Asuka/Bruce is one of best teams for dishing out very nasty wall combos.
For Asuka/Michelle, Michelle can cover for Asuka lack of good low pokes. Michelle has a lot of quick low hitting pokes and she benefits extremely well off of CH. What are the possibilities for combos? Here are a couple of vids I composed myself.
Take a glance at these:

Relatively simple combos that deal around 100+ damage. Michelle is one of the few characters that can catch opponents after Asuka’s tag buffered db+43. For Asuka to do this, Asuka should be focused on getting some good counter hits and frame trapping the opponent for the db+43 set up. Some get tag fillers would be df+14, b243, or db43… (I tend to use df+14 or b243 a lot because I get the most damage on them, but that also depends on how many hits the opponent took before getting the TA!. Also, db43 makes it easier for Michelle to finish the combo with isw and knocks the opponent further away, but the filler itself is not quite as damaging). For the wall, Asuka can resort to ff21 (which is also natural combo by itself and pretty decent tracking), 1+42b+4, or b+1+444.
Michelle tag fillers would be things like d231, b231+2, db22, or d41 (again depending on how many hits the opponent took before TA!).
For wall combos, Michelle has staples such as 1+24bf+1+2 (which is her most damaging wall combo option), df423, or df42bf1. These two operate extremely well on walled stages because that’s where the most damage is going to come from. Both characters are capable of getting over 90/100+ damage off of each other - both of the characters juggle combos are damaging in general.
Asuka/Michelle
Asuka/Bruce
= Fun teams, especially if you enjoy big time damage and strong CH games!
Been Asuka/Jun since the start, stopped a bit back and have now resumed.
Since I’m scraping some rust off I’m really liking Unknown + Kazuya a lot atm.
Kaz: while rising 2 / df+2 ch, 12, df12 (b!) Unknown: b2121/2
Looking for something similar (Good damange/easy execution[->little to no movement/repositioning]) but where Kazuya isn’t on point. Everything TA that I have tried so far is less than 10 extra damage so I can’t justify giving the free rage to them.
Edit: due to my stick being on its last leg kaz fndf42’s are pretty unreliable for me so trying to play without it.
Lee/Armor King… or as I like to call them: TEAM YOU WILL DIE NOW!
Everybody gets used to slow-ass Armor King but then I raw tag Lee into ISW out of nowhere… for apparently no reason… and all of the sudden they have fifty punches and kicks coming at them in a second and they’re being wall carried and splatted and bounded and then air thrown by Armor King and then it’s over… Good times.
There’s also Jaycee/King with Jaycee’s 4,4,1 going into King’s ISW powerbomb for 83 damage and more than HALF their life gone off of one hit confirm. Another high speed/low speed confusion team with powerful throws and ISWs up the ass.
Good movement and random, unexpected shit will keep any seasoned veteran off balance. People that are used to playing against these characters… but not these teams… will be COMPLETELY baffled. As in: “Where THE FUCK did Lee come from? I thought I was fighting King/Armor King?”
