I dunno what’s up with Jessica. Ever since she left Hoyt, she’s trying to go through this rebel phase. Guess 80s was their fashion of choice? No idea. She was much more enjoyable in the previous seasons. I preferred them together, but, that’s just me. Hoyt got hella depressed after him and Jess broke up. That and when he found out that Jason was bangin’ her. So, Jason and Hoyt aren’t besties anymore. Maybe’s he’s tryin’ to “find himself”.
And I agree. I like Vamp Tara much better. Especially since I wanted her ass killed off after the season 2 with X. Lafayette has been a consistent awesome character for me. And Eric.

Ugh, don’t even get me started about the tragically awful way they portray werewolves in this show. That was the final straw that made me quit watching in the first place.
I’m not surprised that Tara whopped up on Jessica. Jessica grew up in lilly whitebread suburbia while Tara had a substantially rougher time growing up. She knew how to take care of herself long before becoming a vamp. Strength advantage doesn’t mean shit if you don’t have the fighting skills and tenacity to back it up (like you basically said)
I dunno, not really liking anything about Trueblood anymore…it’s always been an uneven show with average writing, but the constant, we need to cover every storyline we’re doing in every single episode structure is getting damn tedious. They cut too many sequences that should just play out and farm them out over two or three episodes until it becomes a jumbled mess of cold opens and who gives a shit resolutions to…just about everything. Jessica had that bit where she glamored Andy about Debbie Pelt and I thought what she said kind of encompassed the whole show: “For some reason, you just don’t care about the Pelt case. You’ve lost interest, and now it’s the furthest thing from your mind” Sums up how the show handles secondary plots…get rid of them, dismiss them to the point of “why did they even bother at all?”
I guess they wanted to cut the story from last season to begin with. Cause y’know people would’ve been asking about it, so, why not give 'em enough so they can shut the fuck up?
I am pretty meh on how they’re portraying the werewolves as well. Buncha punks this season. Alcide as pack master? This might be interesting. Though, slightly bleh at how they were trying to cut the love interest between Alcide/Sookie with Eric’s glamouring. Like… C’mon. Territorial bastards.

Still enjoying the show - I admit it’s trashy as hell, but that’s one of the qualities I love about it. I think it was interesting at the beginning of the series when things seemed a bit more political, with the whole ‘what if vampires were real and out of the coffin, what would the implications be’ sort of thing, but then it just became more of a supernatural soap with 20 different barely-connected plotlines. I don’t think it’s nearly as smart as it used to be, but it’s a hell of a lot more fun in a lot of ways, mainly the trashiness of it all.
they should have killed Luna off. Yet another useless character if you ask me. Im interested to see how Jason’s half retarded ass is gonna find the vampire that messed up his family but then again he did kill Franklin so he might actually get some shit done. I still think that Alcide has no shot at fucking Sookie. Eric will have that shit locked up by the end of the season. I just hope the writers are smart and keep Russell around this time and am i the only one glad to see Hadley again? she’s always been one of the hottest girls in the show to me (besides Sophie Anne of course.)
I think this is the best season so far. It’s surprisingly good. I absolutely hated the last few seasons…especially the last season.
Okay I guess I’ll just say it…FUCK THEM FOR KILLING ROMAN. I knew they would but it doesn’t make it any better that after he gets killed I have to sit and watch useless ass redhead cry about a wedding no one gives a single fuck about.
On the plus side Jason/Jessica’s scene was funny but Jessica was definitely wrong, what she did was disgusting period. I expected better from her.
Also if I can be a man for a second Lilith has amazing tits, that woman is gorgeous. Too we all know she’ll die because she’s hotter than Sookie and they can’t have that.
