The only person Eric looks out for is himself. He’s only interested in Sookie for “dat fairy kush”. He only saved Laff because he was dealing the V for him and that bamma straight up said Bill was dealing the V like he was fluently speaking his own language. Viking Eric seemed to have compassion and a soul but vampire Eric is just a blood-filled douchbag. I do think the only person, besides himself, he cares about is Pam…maybe?
Eric’s still the only character on the show I don’t want to cunt-punt into a shark-filled tank…
edit: Well, Jessica wouldn’t get tossed only because I’d like to eat her butt…but her character is still just as annoying as every other non-Eric character…oh, and Pam isn’t bad, but she’s barely a charcter…

when was it confirmed that Russell was older than Godric?
I’m about 2-3 episodes behind, but I just wanted to say that the rape scene with Bill and his maker at the end of episode 4 was probably one of the most disturbing things I have seen in a very, very long time. I want to catch up, but every time I do, I think of that one scene, shudder, and put off watching True Blood for another day.

What can you tell us about your character, Russell?
Russell evolved through conversations with Alan Ball [the show’s creator], lots of research and hikes with Theo Alexander who plays Talbot, my vampire boyfriend of 700 years. Initially Alan told me that Russell was pretty old and was very charming and had a southern accent. We decided eventually that Russell was older than the character of Godric and so that puts him at around the 2700-2800-year-old mark - he was “made” sometime in 800 BC. He’s an ancient Celt. The Celts originated in the Carpathian mountains and then started migrating West in search of the bed of the sun. In 55 BC they were defeated by Julius Caesar in Gaul. So, obviously, Russell has worn many masks and his latest “incarnation” as a southern gentleman is just another mask.
Wasn’t it stated in no uncertain terms that Godric was the oldest vampire in North America?

Its funny, but I hated Lorena ever since she was first introduced, but I have to give it to the actress playing her, she is on point, and tonights episode was prob her best work for the series. Also her “Maker” sounds like an interesing character.
