I’ve been stuck in improving my game since the past two years. It seems I can only see the game in the simplest way. Ive never been the type of person to be able to find tech and stuff like that because I honestly don’t know how. I find it amazing how people find this kind stuff. One the that has been frustrating me is that I push block a lot. I know that if the opponent is hitting get you and so I his assist is too that I will get hit. But I still get mad. Saying ’ what the hell?’. I’m not able to read my opponent well. Or even position myself where I know where I’m suppose to be. Also is pressuring. I can’t pressure to save my life. I get pushed blocked and the because I’m tryna pressure I get opened up. I know it happens but still. I’m that I haven’t improved at marvel the past two years. If anyrhing just learned some new combos with characters. I still feel like a beginner. Which I more than likely am. I really wanna improve but I’m stuck and it’s frustrating. Anyways I just wanna ask if there are any videos or forums the can help me get better at the game ’ mind game’ wise and also on how to not be pressing random ass buttons when Im blocking and how to stop my push blocking spam.
Look at this crap
Learning the mindgame or whatever can really only come from watching and playing a lot. My advice when watching is to watch a match once, then again while pausing to think about why the players made a decision that maybe you didn’t understand. This becomes easier and more natural the more you do it. Don’t worry about tech so much as decision-making.
As for advancing guard, forget everything and read this:

Nemo’s tutorial on push block was extremely helpful to me but I don’t think the video itself has been subtitled; maybe I’ll do that sometime.
Basically, don’t mash pushblock by default. Try playing entire matches without pushblocking anything and then try to notice where it would help or hurt you. Learn how to push block LATE and not preemptively in neutral; learn to change your pushblock timing when you are on incoming to throw off your opponent’s setups; and to reiterate do not pushblock without thinking about it.
Not understanding advancing guard I think is what separates mediocre players from good players. Not saying I’ve mastered it, but I’ve beaten people who clearly think they’re hot shit just by reading and using pushblock effectively. It’s a basic game mechanic that 50% of Marvel’s players just don’t understand.
