As for the people on this site, there are some totally awesome dudes and ladies of all backgrounds, education levels, occupations, etc. What you seem to be upset about is that I don’t think you’re one of them. You’re more-or-less a youtube commenter, just some kid desperate for attention so you post lazy insults and populist venom so you can get a crumb of approval from the other lonely people. You don’t add anything constructive or even remotely interesting to discussions you insist on joining. Essentially*, there are many guys like you all over the world*, and the fact that this version of a lame trope persona happens to beg for attention on a hobby website I frequent is of little consequence.
Not even. In my English classes I was taught to appreciate the work of art and try to understand it and extract goodness out of the work. The problem with her is that what she is doing in the guise of “scholarly” work is just as bad for intelligent discussion as the millions of retards who harassed her. You started a thread about a person who got a bunch of 150,000 dollars to play video games and then make 5-20 minute videos on five topics that already show her bias towards the material she is handling. That is exactly 150,000 dollars more than she deserves on this shit. You know? Because she is not going into these games and treating them as the complicated, multi-voiced, and expensive undertakings that they are. Instead she wants to take start throwing blows at a medium without laying some proper context for it. Is there a video that explains how video games get made and the job each person has in it? Of course fucking not. Because that would be insightful towards understanding how the shit she wants to bitch about gets there in the first fucking place. The best she is going to do is get mad at the ultimate decision maker without understand that he may not have all of the control in the first place.
So what are they giving her 150,000 dollars for exactly? They are giving her money so she can comment on a bunch of games made by different corporate entities without first doing research on those corporate entities. Her very research is undermined by the fact that not all corporate entities share the same corporate structure or culture. So she is really going to shoot at the dark with some dumb ass interpretation of a bunch of characters without context all the while having nobody to blame for the final product. See its easy to say shit with books because you deal with one creative mind. Video games have so many damn people working on them that it gets murky. Similarly are you going to get mad at a company that gave us Chun-Li and Cammy when they also gave us Regina, Claire and Jill? This is some mad schizophrenic shit all coming from one source.
Not only that but you know this bitch is straight lying her ass of to people. If you really want to be fair, she could finish most action games in a day (at least most of the modern ones). But how are you going to treat RPGs? Those games are easily 60+ hours if she is taking legitimate note, video of scenes and all the other production hassle that comes with making the type of media she wants to create. People have thrown money at this woman and she never really posted either methods, proper thesis statements, preliminary research, or the theories she will use when dealing with the data. The only thing we know about the work is what we get from her little title page: she is going to select characters based on ass and titties. Honestly what made Valentine more fit than Peacock, Painwheel or Double in that little splash title page? She is using Valentine’s and Mai’s titties to be just as sensational as the shit she probably finds scandalous. All that space and no pictures of Zelda?
The truth is that this bitch is getting funded in the most retarded way possible: people are throwing money at her so she can be mad for her. Most people in academia would read that proposal and use it clean dog shit. Her idea is so damn bad that i wouldn’t use it to smack her with it.
