A fun short video, me and a friend noticed this and I decided to make the video. I want to know if you guys think Tron Bonnes theme is a copy of the classic sonic 2 theme from aquatic zone.( a section of it)

I am taking a tally for one week on this debate, any contribution is much appreciated
I do have to admit those parts do have some similarities, but, the songs as whole seem rather different IMO. Tron’s theme isn’t all that new. I never played the Legends game, but, I do know it came from there. Megaman Volnutt had the same theme in first version of TVC, and, Tron’s is just different arrangement of it.
Sonic sounds more like a tune while Tron sounds exactly the same but basically if they played the tune with farts instead instruments practically. Besides, Crapcom stole more then enough things from KOF and some from Tekken already.
Haha damn, a buddy of mine with a music background explains the parts that are the same in the comments on that video. Lol and the power rangers/wolverine with the guitar is the same.
GODDAMN i fucking knew it the second i heard that track on the trial version of MOTW i knew id heard it before but couldnt put a name to the track or whatever (i generally suck with song tracks)
more proof that modern day pop music is all copied from other stuff
There are 12 notes and only 88 keys on a piano(essentially the standard range for music to be written). Everybody that writes music often will eventually write a song that’s already been written. Everybody wants to write and hear songs like their favorite songs. It happens. It’s happened to Michael Jackson on many occasions. In a lot of cases it’s hard to tell if it was stealing or just a coincidence as there are many songs that use common chord progressions. Just yesterday I watched a guy tell a teacher that he thought some band stole his song. His progression was one of the most staple chord progressions in music. Teacher figured it out in 5 seconds and I could’ve done the same.
On the similarity of Children vs. Spread the Wings, Children was released first. Hard to steal a song that was written about 4 years after you plan to release your single.
