I went to redownload the p2p kaillera client and my avast antivirus popped up with info that it had a Trojan on it. Two are working fine, but not the first one of the three (Kailleraclient.dll) The uncompressed and p2p versions are ok though.
that’s exactly why the other two versions exist, because some AVs out there might give false positives and start bitching about the dll
there’s no other reason to get the compressed one i’d say, just go with what doesn’t make your AV flip out
Hopefully it’s just a misidentification, but it’s odd that it would only happen on this recent release. My anti-virus identified it as a dialer. I wonder if this has anything to do with the issues people have been having.
^ Same here
I don’t use protection on my computer. It feels better that way.
I see what did there…
And see… My anti-malware stuff caught it on an older release.
Oh no! Trojan! It will poke from the back so you cant parry/block attacks from the front.
Anyways, if there is any reason your antivirus/antimalware should cause any drama, its because they don’t support scanning through all the commonly used PE compression modules. The uncompressed build exist for that reason. If that doesn’t do it, go compile your own version from the sources at okai.sf.net.
