Trish Video Thread

I would use different mix-ups midscreen - people tend to tech backwards when midscreen more often. The Round Trip will still cover them, but you would be out of position.

It’s probably better to do a :atk::atk: dash to auto track their roll if you’re doing something midscreen.

Hey guys i already posted this in the combo thread, but i figured the video thread would also be a good place for this:

I play Trish/Spencer/Dante, and the idea behind the combo is to get an extended round trip combo with Trish with help from Spencers hook assist, then i set up a meaty Round Harvest, and raw Tag spencer in. After that its a mixup, its NOT guaranteed damage but you can confirm if your opponent is blocking the round harvest crouching or standing, and either overhead or c.A accordingly. I use Dantes weasle shot to be able to magic series after Spencers Overhead. The videos are an example of how it works if the opponent is blocking low (although the dummy is standing, its set on all lows and highs block)

Critic and ways to improve it are much appreciated!!!

Some combos I threw together. =p

those were very creative uses of other assists during those trish combos, i should see what the other characters have in store for her when i make a combo vid :stuck_out_tongue:

the round harvest is a full block string so everything you do after they block round harvest is 50/50 (<<< chance of just wasting that meter for no reason) unless you had an unblockable set up, its better off dhcing into voltage super into bionic arm then continuing the combo from otg

Irrelevent, but awesome music choice.
Also that TAC into Trish was pretty nice. Made Trish look like she had that Marlinpie Doom stuff.

Thanks man =p

Transcript for the first combo Ice? Does that work on everyone?

Also for the TAC combo as well. I’d love to get these down if you don’t mind.

It works on everybody I belive. I haven’t really played any Joe’s or Rocket’s. But I believe it works on them.

Note: TAC Transcript will be Shown as If I’m Playing 1 side.

for the upwards TAC there’s an easier way to hit it than getting the specific timing for the combo- airdash down forward upon entry and do the hopscotch trap. i can’t figure out how to get the side TAC to work off a really high height exchange though. the last part requires ya to be real low to the ground. any ideas on an alternate that still brings them back into the corner?

I don’t know, personally Im not a fan of TAC’s in the slightest. The idea of giving up guaranteed damage just isn’t enticing.

y0o0o0o0o ICE is definitely the illest trish in the bizzzzzz! much respects for you brotha.
i’d appreciate if you could take a look some of my vids.

me and joker were pretty hazed out lol, and yes i know jokers magneto is gdlk lol.
i welcome all comments either way.

RDK, your Trish isn’t too un-Godlike itself  I was wondering, since I’m using your same team… if after knockdown before Harvest I dash back instead of tridash back as you do, am I allowing them to escape via forward tech? No one has done it yet, so I’ve just been back dashing, but it may just be that no one I’ve faced is rolling through it? Dunno.

Also, when you kill someone, and the next guy’s coming in, when you do trap xx Harvest, is there a specific setup off a blocked Harvest when they’re airborne? Seems like a waste of a meter unless there’s a specific trick you’re going for. Time an unblockable for when they land or something?

This is something I’ve been experimenting with too cause it ruins the setup if they manage to roll forward and end up out of the corner. What I’ve found is that after one backdash or tridash downback, the character will not roll to the other side as long as Trish is still there.

When I was trying to do unblockables at first, I noticed I was holding down the assist button to tag during the screen flash during round harvest, the tag will happen immediately. However I noticed my tag would come from the other direction cause the forward roll went past Trish’s last location according the game, resulting in the tag coming from the other side(from the corner). **BUT if you delay the tag they’ll never roll past you and you’ll still have plenty of time to call your assist for the unblockable. **Just start holding the assist button for tag after the screen flash sequence is complete. You should find that no character can roll past you.

From the description:

This is situational concept, but it can be very effective. By calling Hidden Missiles BEFORE a throw, Dante can combo off of his ground throws. This may seem difficult to premeditate, but if you can safely get Hidden Missiles on the screen it’s going to give you a huge amount of advantage anyway. So why not go for the throw while it is first coming out? This video uses a tick throw example, and the dummy is set to Advance Guard. I demonstrate, poorly probably, how Stinger can OS as a throw and what options you get off of it. Certain characters with invincible hyper combos can blow up these options, but it’s still a viable concept. The damage is incredibly low in these combos, so it is most optimal to go for a reset at the end of them. I just do some random enders and half assed combos so you get the point.

Comment and leave you opinions!

Yea I should prolly start trying that with trish/sentinel, it should work in theory.

It definitely should. Going for a throw while you call a neutral assist can never hurt. It just adds a different mix up, and often times if they tech the throw the assist is still going to be holding them back. Most people would expect tri-dash L with Sentinel Force backing you up, so as the jump to chicken block you may catch the throw.

Wait…Is your opponent vulnerable when they tech a throw? If so, assist may hit them as they tech if timed properly. I need to test this.

I do’nt think they are vulnerable, but if your dealing with someone who mashes throw tech, or dive kickers who throw by option selecting it, they will usually get hit by the assist on the way down.

There is some good Dante and Trish stuff in the beginning of the video! Enjoy.
