How are you getting on Watts over this? TFGM is the one that instigated somewhere else, and TFGM is the one that tried dragging Wilson into this. I mean sure, Watts may have posted in THIS forum, but the story was going to come out anyway. He just posted his side of the story up first, where people can see it. Why don’t you tell TFGM to wait till Evo? He’s the one that started talking shit on the internet first. Or atleast, that’s what I’m getting from reading everything here, reading BOTH sides.
Look, this is all a big stupid misunderstanding, and probably shouldn’t have even warranted this much drama anyway. Whatever, it’s here now. Maybe it will make Evo more interesting, I already asked someone to record the Jaha-TFGM confrontation for me. People need to step back on all the shit talk though…because sooner or later you will run into people that WILL do something about it when they meet up with you.

The thing you gotta understand about this situation is that TFGM doesn’t play Street Fighter. A lot of people in this thread are complaining about too much drama going around and calling Watson out for the SF4: Parking Lot Edition invitationals. But you gotta remember that in the Street Fighter community, violence factors into the equation one (1) out of 29872983434 times. It’s very rare. Usually the kid talking shit on the established players winds up having to show up to a tournament or money match and back up all his comments. Then the new kid learns some respect or earns some respect - usually both, but either way is cool. In this case, the “kid talking shit” is older than Watson (and Watson is like first generation SF champ) and he doesn’t fucking play Street Fighter.
What is Watson supposed to do? Let some guy who’s a community outsider (in every sense of the word) try to step in and run shit? Passively observe as the established players of the community are insulted and their contributions ignored? TFGM is trying to sidestep this community’s only rule: If you want respect, you have to win (or at least play well (or at least do something cool (or at least make a Guile website))).
So the whole situation is just weird for everyone.

AND, I’d like to say that Empire does not represent me, my SF playing friends or my home town in North Jersey.
I’m a nobody in the SF community in terms of being known for anything but I fully support it and I know when to recognize. Players like Watson and Wilson and many others are why I still play this game. They don’t know me personally and I’m not sure if I’ll ever have the pleasure of meeting them but I absolutely respect their contributions to the SF community.
I think the concept of Empire is a good idea gone bad. Respect is earned, not purchased.
