So Evo got announced. SSF4, MVC3, BBCS, MK9, T6. Seeing if anyone else is planning on going. Since tax returns are comin through thought some of you guys might want to plan on goin with that extra money 
This year it falls on mine and Hector’s bday so we gonna celebrate Vegas style! Well if he ends up going the same weekend. Probably gonna book everything around April so let me know whats up.
So I got the 14th and 15th off meaning we can plan a MvC3 launch session. So whats a good time for everyone? Its gonna be cramped again but we’ll make it work.
Plus I got tomorrow (weds) off and next Sunday (SUPER BOWL) and next Tues off. So if you guys want to get some Super games in let me know. I’ve been out of it lately cuz of GT5 and work but I’m always down for some sessions.

So me and Cesar (KYO84) were talking earlier and came up with this really big idea.
With how big MvC3 is gonna be and how it’ll be bringing in some new players, we’re in desperate need of playing space. So this idea popped up after thinking about how other places handles this. How about we get a good small meeting room at the Red Lion Inn that we can play once a month? Of course this’ll all depend on how much it’ll cost. If it ends up too much we’ll have to scratch the plan.
But we all need to help out with this if this ends up rollin. Everyone will need to help donate to the cost of the room. I’m guessing around $5 to $10 per person if we get enough people coming.
So how’s this sound? I’d like as much input on this idea as possible. And if you know of ANYWHERE we can host something similar, please post up.

Yo paco you just visiting or going.to move here. The scene is not as good as i wish it would be but the more people we have the better. We have been playing super sf4 as a group but we are planning to play marvel3. So your welcome just keep in touch and we will let you know when something goes down.

Evo is a no go for me. I’m about to make some pretty huge changes in the worklife/education department here pretty soon, and money is going to get kinda tight. I need to pay off my car and get some work done on it pronto, and then get some cash saved up for an emergency. I just can’t see how I will fit a large expense like a trip to Evo in there, and that’s a pretty big bummer. 
That said, the space rental idea sounds great to me. I’m not planning on leaving the scene anytime soon, so whatever it takes to be a part of it is pretty high on my priority list. A few bucks a month for a place to play won’t be a problem.
What’s up paco? Always good to have another player. Do you play any other games, or just Marvel?
I have Monday and Tuesday off, but Tuesday might end up being busy for me. I won’t know for sure until around 4pm that day. I’ll try and make it if something is going on though.
Cool. New people are always good for the scene. I think we might hit like 16 people that actually wanna get good at fighting games soon haha. If we hit 20+ its gonna get crazy.
So guess Cesar called Red Lion and the person in charge doesn’t get back there til after the weekend. We’ll keep an update on the situation. Hopin its affordable!
Kalvin- Thats a bummer that you can’t make Evo. I usually spend like around $500-600 total on the trip (room, tickets, registration, food). So if you’re able to somehow get that, be welcome to help you out with setting it all up.
Yeah her answering machine said she wouldn’t get back until tomorrow so I’ll try it again and keep everyone in here updated.
Her name is Kathy Wind and she was supposed to be back today at 8AM but I just called and got her answering machine, perhaps I called too late. I’ll try again tomorrow much earlier in the day.
Oh and the closest store that is doing a midnight launch for MvC3 is all the way in Union Gap, FML.

Im just gona play mvc3. The only other game I played was bb. I live in houston atm and I don’t know how long ill be up there for. My plans as of now are to get a job and stay there for a while. I got sticks but don’t know im ill take them, one of em is messed up so duno if any of you know how to mod/fix? If not ill try to get it fixed here.

Ok so I called up the Red Lion and they said for 6 hours they would charge us 150$ which is a lot better than some of the other places I checked. This is our current player list, some are pending confirmation:

So we have more than enough to pay for the room and we plan to use any money that’s left towards the end of the Ranking Battle Season championship pot money for both MvC3 and SF4:AE.

Oh and we were planning to charge 10$ which is about the price of a movie but funner and it lasts longer. :bgrin:
