Background info here.

Quick Note and Synopsis:
I’m not a pro Dr. B player by any means so apologies in advance if information is wrong and if the format isn’t good, but hopefully we can start a discussion about Dr. B. Anyways Dr. B is one of those unorthodox fighting style characters with stances and stance transitions on hit. He can setup a pretty good mixup game if given the chance and quite a fun character to play with his variety of bizarre moves in my opinion. However Dr. B has some issues such as his lack of mixup strings compared to the other characters, his frames on some moves are slow, and his lack of range on some moves, currently he is considered a trolling character by the majority.

Legends

B! - Bound moves for tag assaults.
WR- While rising
MAD-Mad Pain (A stance where he grabs his feet in pain or shakes his hand in pain)
Panic - Panic Doctor (A stance where he spins left or right)
Zen - Zen (A stance where he sits down in a meditation like stance)
Charge - (A stance where he rubs two hands creating electricity)

Launchers

Spoiler

These moves will launch the opponent in the air for a combo or can setup for combos.

  • d/f, 2: An uppercut like move, sadly the only non counter hit standing move that can launch people in the air. (Combo consistency issues when hit from the sides however)
    Hits: Mid

  • WR, 3: A backward rising kick, a decent launcher and good option after forward roll in zed.
    Hits: Mid

-d/b, 2: An underhand looking strike, it causes a crumple when he hits the opponent’s front on a counterhit, also a pretty safe poke.
Hits: Mid

-Mad, 1: Dr. B does an eye poke move that causes a crumple when he hits the opponent’s front on a counterhit, unsafe if blocked I think.
Hits: High

-Mad, 3: Dr. B does a Marshall Law looking flip kick that launches the opponent into the air, you can also tag out after this move hits.
Hits; Mid

-Panic, 1: An overhead blow that causes a flying bound state on counterhit, very unsafe if blocked and pretty slow startup so use with caution.
Hits: Mid

-d/b, 3: A low sweep attack that can setup combos on counter or clean hits, startup seems and animation seems slow so opponent might be able to see it coming.
Hits: Low

-f,f, 4: An explosive flip forward kick, if it lands you can combo with 3 after you press 2 when you land on the ground. Definitely a good move to use.
Hits: Middle

-u/f, 4: A jumping kick that will cause a crumple if hit in the stomach from the front or side. Unsafe if blocked.
Hits: Middle

Juggles

Spoiler

Moves that will help keep the opponent in the air after a launching move.
-d/f, 1: A handshake like poke that can keep the opponent in the air for two hits.
Hits: Middle

-d/b, 2: The underhand blow lifts the opponent a bit higher, however very inconsistent when used in a combo where you launched him or her from the sides.
Hits: Middle

-u/f, 4: A jumping kick that can be used in combos, however can be inconsistent also.
Hits: Middle

-f, 1, 1: Standard one two punch.
Hits: High

-f, 2, 2: Two rushing mid punches good for combos
Hits: Middle

-b, 1, 2, mad 1: Seems to only work after launcher and nothing else.
Hits: High, High, High

-WR 1, 1, mad 3: A possible follow up after his d, 2 bound.
Hits: High, High, Low

Bounds

Spoiler

-d, 2: A one handed overhead blow that bounds on air opponents, also good for combos.
Hits: Middle

-f, 1+2: A headbutt move, deals good damage but range is short.
Hits: Middle

**Wall Splat moves (Later on) **

Tag Fillers (Needs more testing)

Spoiler
  • b, 1, 2, mad 3: Probably his only best tag assault filler.
    Hits: High, High, Low

Mad Pain

Spoiler

Moves that transition into mad pain:
-b, 1, 2: One way to enter mad pain stance, also good when used for punishing stuff.
Hits: High, High

-2, 4: Next best option to enter mad pain stance, however opponent can parry second hit if predicted.
Hits: High, Low

-d, 4: Good low hit into mad pain, unsafe on block however.
Hits: Low

-Panic, 3: Another low hit into mad pain, it’s best to use this after a combo or a move that knocks the opponent to the floor since you’re vulnerable while spinning.
Hits: Low

-WR 1,1: Two hit strike into mad pain, a decent option after a forward roll in zen.
Hits: High, High

** Moves from Mad Pain**
-1: Eye poke attack, crumples on counter hit from the front a decent move to bait the opponent by using this as late as possible when you see the mad pain transition. However opponent can crouch under this leaving you vulnerable.
Hits: High

  • 2: Dr. B tumbles towards the ground probably does the most damage for combos, also a good move since it hits mid and leaves you in the face down position.
    Hits: Middle

-3: Marshall Law like flip kick, beats low attacks, can tag out after hit, and a risky move for mad pain baiting (wait a bit when you see the mad pain animation then do this). Range is a bit shorter than Law’s I think, this can be a great move under some situations.
Hits: Middle

-4: A fast explosive sliding low attack, it’s great for mixups and the only way the opponent could parry it is if he or she predicted it before hand.
Hits: Low

** Panic Doctor**

Spoiler

Panic Doctor is transitioned by pressing forward or back then 3+4, or pressing left or right during mad pain. This is a great evasive and positioning move during some situations. Sadly you can’t cancel it till the animation is done.

** Moves from panic doctor **
-1: Dr. B does a double armed overhead attack, it bounds on counter hit but it’s startup is slow and it’s unsafe on block.
Hits: Middle

-2: Dr. B does a face push like attack, it cause a knockdown and possible to follow up with f,f 3+4, range is quite short though.
Hits: Middle

-3: A low kick that transitions into mad pain, can be a good attack if you bypassed panic doctors vulnerability frames.
Hits: Low

-4: A fast explosive forward flip, can be great at surprising opponents, advancing, or to punish attacks. Seems safe on block but unable to follow up.
Hits: Middle

-1+4: His alternate input to his f,f, 1+2 throw during panic doctor, Dr. B headbutts the opponent and both combatants fall to the ground.

Zen

Spoiler

Zen lowers Dr. B’s hurtbox which allows him to dodge some attacks, some can be quite surprising (needs more testing). The input is d, 3+4 a combination of panic doctor and zen can cause some interesting mindgames.

Moves from zen
-1: Dr. B does a rocket like jump, while it’s unsafe on block in some cases you can combo off of it.
Hits: Middle

-2:Dr. B does a small jump that not only dodges low attacks, but it puts him out of zen stance.

-3: Dr. B does a sliding headbutt attack, while slower this move also helps with mindgame, and possibly lowers Dr. B’s hurtbox slightly.

-4: The infamous butt sliding move, comes out fast and unsafe on block. A good tool in his set for mindgames.
Hits: Low

-u: Same as 2 but this one keeps him in zen stance.

-f or b: Does a roll forward or back pretty good for evading or moving around. You can also follow up with while rising attacks after.

-(back facing towards opponent) 1: Dr. B turns around.

Electric Charge

Spoiler

Dr. B rubs his hands together to create electricity, this is a gimmicky stance since the startup on it is slow, however some of the follow ups moves can be quite good for certain situations.

Moves from Electric Charge
-1: A low sweep with his hands, you can follow up with a combo on counter hit. Possibly the best time to use this move is after a wall splat or a knockdown possibly.
Hits: Low

-2: Dr. B touches the opponents face with electricity, I’m not too sure how this move works in a match situation but if it hits you can follow up for a combo without counter hit.
Hits: High

-1+2: Dr. B extends both hands in front while running towards the opponent, this move is unblockable and you are unable to follow up since Dr. B falls to the ground after impact. Can be a pretty good move if you have a huge distance between you and the opponent, and seems to have pretty good priority on it. However the opponent can easily sidestep this attack or do a low attack.
Hits: Unblockable High

Notable moves

Spoiler

Hits: Middle
