Translating flash (youtube) vids to mpeg4

Hey everyone,

I am looking to download many of the great match vids on youtube and translate them to mpeg4 format so I can run them on my ipod.

I did a search of the site and I think I have cracked the issue of downloading them but I couldnt find a thread that explained how to translate them afterwards.

If anyone can point me in the right direction I would be thrilled.

Doesnt kickyoutube do that?

this MIGHT do the job. it’ll convert a pretty wide range of things. I haven’t personally done a .flv to .mpg, but it seems like it should do it.
