G.I. Joe movie would not work at all, at least not at the moment. Unless you want to hear it all over CNN, Fox News Channel and liberal minded fools make some rant about it.
But a G.I. Joe movie would be possible, as long as it isn’t the animated film. FUCK SERPENTOR! FUCK COBRA-LA! FUCK GOLOBULUS! (though Burgess Meredith did a great voice for him) We would have to have the comic story dont know about the marvel one. I mean Cobra Commander being a used cars salesman from Illinois??? lol
true, I mean I’m not knocking it but in the year 2007 it would not work. I think some ppl would laugh at it. Though I hate it when they always leave his origin ambiguous. Sides when it comes to comic/cartoon to movie stuff always gets changed. Like Dr. Doom going into space with Reed, Wolverine being tall?, Pyro an X-Man, Harvey Dent being a black man or Mr. Freeze having light-up teeth.
and I’m cool with that, so long as they RESPECT the established Canon at least partially…
with the script featuring the buddy-buddy bullshit with Action Man, there’s no way I’m gonna take that seriously…give the script to a capable writer, and get rid of the Action Force shit…give us GI Joe…
anyway back on topic:
was gonna buy Bumblebee today, but no store in my area has him in stock anymore…
I always figured that, out of all the childhood franchises they’re trying to make into Hollywood movies, G.I. Joe would have been the easiest. Theoretically, you don’t even need any CGI for it.
GI Joe could work really well, just as long as it had good action, a decent plot…and keep the number of Joes and Cobras to a minimum. Don’t want to flood the movie with too many characters.
A few things I recently found out regarding the film’s voicework:
Keith David will be voicing Barricade. He voiced Goliath in Gargoyles. And Bumblebee is a mute. I haven’t come across anything on who will be voicing Jazz. Initially, I heard Ludacris would be voicing him. Anyone hear otherwise?
