Barricade is a great figure once you know how to transform him properly (there’s a couple steps they didn’t mention in the instructions), such as the fact that his ankles actually LOCK in the back, and that if you pull up on his head, you can slide the hood back together (not all the way, but close)

damn shame they’ve got a different voice for Megatron, really…I can live with the redesigns, but it’s not like Chris Latta, where they can’t use him.
I think Hugo Weaving can make an amazing Megatron. However, I agree that Welker would be amazing. I still say the best Megatron voice is BW Megatron though. Fucking incredible. Yes.
Weaving as Megatron isn’t a BAD choice, but the voice is more recognizable.
it was like casting Liam Neeson as Aslan. I couldn’t see the awesome visual effect that was the talking lion, because I couldn’t get Neeson’s voice out of my head.
some voices are too distinctive, I’m not gonna be able to concentrate at all, because all I’m gonna hear is “Codename V’s Villain Soliloquy”, or worse “Mister Anderson!”
had they gone with Welker, not only would it have been the obvious (and perfect) choice, but it wouldn’t be a voice that people outside of the fandom would instantly recognize.
I went plumb fucking loco yesterday and bought a ton of movie toys. 
Seriously I was like “okay, I’ll get Blackout and Barricade… and that’s it… maybe Jazz… and Brawl… and Starscream…” 
Picked up/rating:
Barricade - 9/10 - great modes, pretty simple but cool transformation, lame punch gimmick.
Brawl - 8/10 - great modes, interesting transformation for a tank, some pieces don’t lock together that well.
Swindle - 7/10 - nice car, okay robot mode, the cannon more often than not gets in the way of the transformation… don’t care for the lens-face.
Jazz - 9/10 - sweet car, pretty built robot, interesting transformation, the hood is a bit brittle and pops off too easily. His shield and rifle/sword are beastly though. Haven’t seen a TF with a cannon like that in a long time.
Bonecrusher - 9/10 - really long transformation, nice vehicle, insanely amusing robot, has super-long monkey arms and a dual-claw assemblage that is multi-posable on his back.
Ironhide - 8/10 - nice transformation, interesting bot mode, and finally a GOOD modern truck (fuck you Alt Prime). Parts of the transformation get a bit irritating, some of them are on hinge joints that won’t get out of the way, returning it to truck mode is a bit confusing.
Ratchet - 10/10 - best one so far. nice vehicle, INCREDIBLY chunky but posable robot, great weapon gimmicks, and he fits in with Alternators pretty well. :lovin:
Starscream - 9/10 - monkeybot surprised me, very complicated transformation, and you can choose how to pose his legs, either upright, or in monkey-stance. the missiles fire off pretty haphazardly, though, so it’s best not to load them in case you may lose them.
Blackout - 5/10 - :sad: So wanted him to rock, but instead, he’s meh. Cheap plastic, already has stress marks, several pieces don’t lock together, spring-loaded parts won’t stay in place, including chest + scorpy holder. He’s friggin’ tiny. Ratchet’s bot is twice his size.
Oh, and the Real Gears: binoculars - 10, phone - 8, mp3 - 8 (coz it looks like Laserbeak), vidcam - 7, camera - 9, videogame - 5
Taichi: I miss when these had words along with pictures in the instructions; as such, you find yourself almost breaking something that shouldn’t be moved in the first place. -_-;

god does he say that too much. Weaving can prolly do it, but I still think Bay is a moron for not getting Welker, he wants Megs to be scary and I think Welker’s stressed and scratchy voice fits it better than Weaving. I can easliy line up both the face of movie Megatron with Welker’s voice

FRANK WELKER IS A GOD AMONG VOICE ACTORS!

Yeah for some reason it feels like things coming full circle again… (Cullen & Welker as Prime & Megs), hopefully it will play decent… although it’ll be prolly plagued by the typical moviegame syndrome:confused:
Well, I agree in that regard, but still…the pictures all over the package, and instructions show you the wrong steps altogether.
it doesn’t show you how to lock Barricade’s ankles, or lift his head so the hood can slide back under it.
all the pictures show him mistransformed, so even with text, If they’re gonna miss a step, they’re gonna miss a step.
It may be old to some of you, but has anyone seen the latest TF trailer? Keep an eye on Prime towards the end. He looks a lot more like his classic self than the leaked artwork suggested. I realize those were just concepts, but I’m glad that’s all they were. The red flames have grown on me too. Man, I am fucking pumped for this flick.
