I just wish there were UNIQUE decepticon figures. Swindle as a repaint of hound makes sense, and shockwave was cool, but i laughed at the 1st ravage fig.Tracksw/ a cat head.
also, itd be nice if there were more european manufacturers, or body types(a hummer or something).
Mirage is a great mold. I recommend the Jazz/Shockwave mold too, and I have a soft spot for Hound. ^^
Taichi: Grats on Sounders, man! I kinda agree with you on the Alts/BT complaints; I love half of them, and the others are kinda meh. They started out strong coming out of the gate, but dropped the ball later on down the line when it became repaint city.
EDIT: Although some repaints were better than the originals. Iād take āDeceptichargeā over Overdrive/Windcharger any day.
Catholic Light: Wouldnāt Runamuck and a repainted version as Runabout kick so much ass?
You hit the nail on the head.
Of all the deceps who are vehicles(g1) , and whose names they have rights to still, they omit these guys. Make one and repaint it .easy money
Not sure if it was mentioned in this thread or not, but the next alternator was gonna be a Cadillac XLR, and was gonna be Megatron. (Pretty sure it was the XLR, but I might be confusing it with another caddy.)
They put the line on hold in favour for the movie toy line though.
Binaltechs are Godās gift because everyone has always dreamed of actual poseable TF figures that looked hella good. And they do. Plus, it was a throwback to the old school TF characters.
I need to finish my collection actually. Wheeljack just looks too good. I wasnāt a fan of the Decepticonās in the Binaltech line, though.

I donāt think theyāre UBER horrible, but I think they could look better.
take a look at G1 Tracks: The car is pretty much integrated into the robot. Sure, thereās no posability to speak of, but thereās not much kibble.
now look at Alternators Tracks: Itās basically a robot with car parts hanging off of him. No flow, no aesthetic, heās got doors bolted to his hips. heās not the car, the car is a costume for him. remove the car parts, and you havenāt lost anything from the design. because the car wasnāt integrated into the design, the car was just bolted to a generic robot frame.
I know itās supposed to be Robots in Disguise, but itās not supposed to be āRobot in a car costumeā
I think some do it better than others, Grimlock is a prime exampleā¦the car and the robot have a design symmetry, that integrates both.
EDIT: UPDATE - this post originally had a picture of Revoltech Megatron in a Urien-like poseā¦the thread was moved, so here is the location of the new thread.
I love the Binaltechs/Alternators line. I need to get at least one of Mirage/Hot Rod. Sadly, Iāve never seen the Mirage Alt. in stores. And I keep getting outbit on ebay for it.
I deeply regret not getting Deadend when he was available. I will definately try and pick up the newer Ravage and Nemesis Prime.
I have megatron in near mint condition the d71 special or whateverā¦I bought it from bigbad toy store like 3 years agoā¦its still unopenedā¦anyone know what its worth?? i wanna sell itā¦
the thing is, Megs has been reissued so many times in recent years, that most reissues havenāt really skyrocketed in value, unless theyāre limited, or contain a new/bonus weapon (Such as the sword, or mace, or both), or variant colored part.
