Ahh. I neve posted on ATT much, but that’s how I knew him for the longest before I knew him personally. Rob’s a great guy. I think he just hasn’t taken that site down, but I don’t think he updates it at all. Hell, all his newer transformers-related pages that I’ve seen are at builtstlouis.net, which is basically his photo-museum of St. Louis. (may be slow/down, as he’s been Farked this week.)

Good, good. Figures that the one day I didn’t look (being sick and all), they actually get them in! A friend of mine called me so I went out and picked one up 30 minutes ago.

yea i walked into toys areus adn saw 4 boxes of soundwaves so i picked up one and i also cancel my order on bbts ,but i preorder the megatron reissue instead so it worked out all good. so whoever gets soundwave on bbts …thank me!! j/k.
the way i understand it soundwave is the last major reissue to come out to the states for major realtailers. unless u go the import route.
when bbts has to add the orange tips to megatron, is it something that can be easily removed?
Seems like 4 is the magic number. When my friend called me, he told me that there were 4 on the shelves. I think I broke a land-speed record getting up there. 
well, they seem to have plenty to fill preorders, mine shipped, and I didn’t order until this month.
as for the last major reissue, yeah, that kinda sucks, because there are a LOT of molds that didn’t get rereleased here, not the least of which is Galvatron.
Kup and Wheelie would’ve been so bought by me too.

I swung by the local hobby shop again. Jesus Christ this place is going to drive me broke. Alternators, re-issues, die-cast, scramble city, you name it, this shop has it. I even saw…THE ORIGINAL FUCKING GALVATRON TOY. No, not a re-issue…the toy from 1986! Of course, I still have to pick up Masterpiece Optimus Prime at some point.
Anyway, I saw this version of Soundwave today, and I hadn’t seen it anywhere else. This store is charging about $55 bucks for it - is it worth it? I really do want a Soundwave.

It looks merely ok, but it has some quality control problems. I.e the legs retract easily in robot mode, and imo the stereo mode isnt as good as the G1 swave fig.
He still comes w/Laserbeak, the best thing about the fig, but it costs $15 US in the states. 55 is waay too much.
Skip him. Get a reissue swave or maybe see how the ipod soundwave thing(even thought that will be smaller than G1 swave)…

Why dont you start buying the Takara reissues?
They’re expensive as fuck.
of course, there ARE some I want, such as the above mentioned Wheelie, Kup, Insecticons, and Blaster.
as well as the Reissue Predaking, Galvatron, Star Convoy, etc.
It’s just a LOT of money to be spending on reissues, IMHO.
You should be able to get Kup and Blaster for 40 each. Insecticons maybe 50. Plus you can save money by buying ones that arent sealed. Just keep your eye on ebay every now and then.
