There were protoype pictures of an Optimal Optimus Leader figure shown where the smaller inner robot is Season 1 Optimus Primal and he merges somehow to form the giant Optimal Optimus from Season 3 BW.
Given that Perfect Effect has both Optimal and Primal schemes on deck, this is an easy pass. I don’t think the smaller bot even has a gorilla mode.
MP Sunstreaker review
I got MP-10B and MP Sunstreaker on the way from Japan. Looking forward to both releases. I just wonder what’s going to be up after Dinobot? BW Megatron, Jazz, Rattrap? There has got to be an announcement some time in the next month or so for the release cycle.
We have to be getting a red repaint of this figure. Part of me want to get this and Tigertracks as an opposite day gimmick.
Another set would be the police diaclone version of this one as well. Clampdown and Police Sunstreaker would look decent on a shelf. The only thing keeping me from doing this is that I don’t own Red Alert.
Masterpiece Sunstreaker may honestly be one of the best MPs to date. If you own Badcube’s version, please throw it away. Takara is officially out for blood with their releases. Yeah, it’s about 50% more than the other MP cars, but having it in hand totally makes every dive worth it.
At this point, i’m waiting for Hasbro/Takara to put out a really nice Deluxe TR Sunstreaker that hits most of the points of the character, for a fraction of the price (is MP Sunstreaker really worth $120?).
Like they did with characters like Overlord and Triggerhappy.

Is it worth it, IMO yes
The engineering is top notch. The entire figure is painted and has a nice gloss clear coat to it. The fact that you can switch from Supercharged Lambo to real world Lambo is a touch that was a nice surprise (albeit necessary to get the Lambo license). You can pose the figure in almost any position imaginable (including the superhero 3 pt. landing).
Combiner Wars already did Sunstreaker (retool of CW Brakedown). Since he’ll be a deluxe sized figure, I’d doubt there is another redo coming.
So this review just popped up on Emgo316’s page and i was looking forward to it but the end result…meh.
Combined mode Prime looks fat. Like Sumo fat. And that he’s wearing a diaper. It’s a figure too ambitious for it’s own good. Which begs the question…has there EVER been a good 3rd party PowerMaster Prime?
People apparently love that thing in the FB groups. I honestly just don’t see it.
Thunder Manus is probably the only decent outing.

Yup. He’s a great leader to have for the TR Decepticons, and a nice alternative to the expensive 3rd party renditions. I didn’t pass him up when i spotted one with a good box at a walmart. Anyone spotted Power of the Primes stuff yet? Like the Leader classes and Pretenders?
Everytime i come across a random walmart i get down to check but it’s futile. I do see the Minibots lately though, like Windcharger and Beachcomber.
