I was gonna do the Optimus one first, but I figured Megatron would be fitting LOL.
What is really scary is that price. At this rate HasTakTomy will have to come correct with releases akin to Tracks and not like MP Ironhide.
Anyone here have Aplloyon, AKA: MP G1 Megatron the way he SHOULD be? About to come out of collecting retirement for that. Looks too good to pass up.

Edit: Also the new 3rd party Masterpeice Rodimus Prime looks glorious: DX-9 Carry! Despite the offical MP Rodimus looking so cartoon accurate, i canât put my finger on it but, i was never completely happy with it.

I actually have Apollyon. Itâs great. . . . . . . . if you get a good one. The QC of that first release is spotty. I got a decent one. I did request replacement parts for an issue with the right hand. It is my understanding that version 2 of this release resolves some of the issues. Otherwise, it literally looks like it walked out of the G1 show. The designers for X-Transbots seem to know how to get the look of the character. If you look at most of the other releases by 3Pâs they are highly stylized versions (akin DX9âs Carry).
I think that that figure looks awesome, but next to an official MP, it just looks out of place. That style is very similar to some of the Studio Ox art. If you look at the pic from TFTM '86, Rodimus is a whole lot smoother.

I think I just scored a Takara Jetwing Prime for $100 shipped. Just waiting for the seller to send me a pic. I also just bought the KO version of Striker Prime for $30 on eBay. I will see if this is the "real deal"otherwise I will file a paypal claim. All I really want are the panels to make it into the stealthforce mode and I am good.
I punched it and bought the Hasbro Version of MP Soundwave. $200 is âdecentâ in the aftermarket for that figure, considering all that it comes with. I also grabbed Leonidas. This has been the most expensive TF year ever. Now I have checked everything that I want off of the list LOL

Classic! I still enjoy the G1 cartoon to this day.
Its definitely aged a good bit but, overtime it has also developed a certain âcharmâ to it. Kinda like watching the 1960âs original Star Trek.
And gotta love all those iconic and well-distinguished personalities. Like Optimus, Starscream, Grimlock, etc.
You can mock the older episodes all you want, and most of them are asking for it, but Season 2 is actually pretty good as far as writing goes, IMO. (it still has tons of animation errors and stuff though lol)
Episodes like âThe Golden Lagoonâ("âŚWe won."), âThe Secret Of Omega Supremeâ (âPerhaps someday, youâll see that there are more important things in life than revenge.â âPossibility: âŚGrowing.â ) and âCity of Steelâ (âIt will take more than your puny arm to stop DEVASTATOR!â âRight, which is why itâs lucky that the hand at the end of that armâŚis holding a gun!â) are the kind that got people into this franchise in the first place.
So my haul came in today. Go the Perfect Effect PC-01 and PC-02 Combiner Upgrades, Leonidas, and KFC Hands. Here is my mini review on them all
Perfect Effect PC-01 and PC-02 - Definitely a nice little upgrade. The only thing I do not like is that the fingers are all the same length. Otherwise itâs solid. The fact that the parts all turn into guns for the figures out of the combiner appendage mode ups the ante. Highly Recommend
Perfect Effect Leonidas - I love it, but I have issues with mine. Itâs sculpted beautifully, as in BEST TF EVER. For a 3P release it is fantastic. Paint apps are great, colors are spot on, and poseability is out of this world. The issue with it is that there are some of the tiniest pegs for some of the joints. Some of which are on places to peg things into spots that are necessary for transformation. It takes very little force and bye bye peg. I lost two sections of the tail and a mane panel doing things that are supposed to be in the instructions.

Lion mode is meh. Itâs super poseable and looks great, but some additional QC love for tolerances would have been nice - Recommend - IF YOU ARE NOT GOING TO TRANSFORM IT
KFC MP-10 Hands - Anyone who owns MP-10 knows that the thumb can just fly off when posing. These hands are great. Similar to the other hands for most KFC/XTransbot releases. The friction joints are solid and look great. - Highly Recommend
Also received Takaraâs version of Jetwing Prime today. No regrets. I need that Striker Version tho. . . . .

So I bought a new phone yesterday. Since I am thinking about getting a camera just for a personal hobby, I figure Iâd grab one with a pretty stellar one. The LG G4 has a phenomenal camera if you know what you are doing. I am gonna be taking better photos from here on out. Just a test shot where you focus on something close and blur everything else.
